it's a must see!!!! i just got back from a sneak preview of the michael moore's newest film "sicko"... frankly, i couldn't wait until 6.29 when it opens in america. i couldn't wait to see what his perspective is on the american health care system and i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it. it is informative, emotional, funny... and at the end of the movie i was worried i'd have horrible black streaks of tear trails because yes it was that good and i bawled. i think this is his best film yet... not overly political to the point of shutting people out. this is a universal issue that everyone can relate to and take personally. go see it 6.29! to health and life...love you.

ok sorry guys... let's try again... http://flashfabrica.jf.land.to/P_Flash/brain/brain.html (don't freak... it's in japanese) in the yellow bounding box at the top of the page, enter your age in the bounding box (with the weird asian character next to it) for a visual explanation scroll down. basically it's to test your memory. when the screen flashes the numbers, memorize them and click the numbers in ascending order in the blank circles indicating flashed positions (ex. 3, 8, 9). after 10 questions... it'll tell you your brain age. how to start? click the 4 japanese characters below your age's bounding box. phew!!! =)

A Whale of a Story

If you read the front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday, December 15, 2005, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighed down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line (rope) wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth. A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farralone Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her, a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around -- she thanked them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same. May you, and all those you love, be so blessed and as fortunate to be untangled from the things that may be binding you.

didn't know why i stayed later than i needed to at work yesterday... but i did... so i jump on the bus like any other weekday for my ride home... saw 2 coins laying nonchalantly on top of the seat in front of mine... a little gift from the cosmos? paused... considered... and accepted. now we're at the next bus stop... glance up... gee... that girl looks familiar... my mind is racing for the remainder of the trip... how i would walk up to a random stranger and ask if her name was the one in my mind... i wait for her at our stop... and yes... she's my 5th grade classmate/penpal i've lost touch with a decade ago... i've imagined perhaps spotting her in the metro someday... and today i did on the bus! what are the odds really? 2 people crossing paths in our modern day labryinth... and how easy it seems to lose the moment... yet somehow... divinely... it happens =)
