Q: What is the highest price paid for a piece of contemporary art? A: $100 million for this charming cast platinum and diamond encrusted skull by damien hirst. As one of the "bad boys" of british art, he is known for controversial works and expensive price tags. This was recently bought at auction by an investment group who plan to showcase it around the world. The skull was cast from an 18th century european man and uses his actual teeth. it's also a tribute to similar bejeweled skulls made by the aztecs.

i was saddened and shocked to hear the news of tammy faye's leaving of this mortal coil. i was really shocked that she went on t.v. looking as sickly and near-death as she did. she died just hours after her larry king taping. her message, atleast aside from showing what her media-whore corpse would look like, was that its possible to remain positive and peaceful in the face of adversity and death. she said she believed she was going "straight to heaven". (she would have to say "straight". ) i believe she is there now. and no i haven't tried to contact her yet, but i will. give her a little chance to settle in... i found it so odd that she recently became a gay icon and really reached out to aids patients and drag queens alike. she was showing "acceptance" and i admire her for that. i've also admired her so much throughout the years for her appearance. she was verrry unique and had her own way she wanted to present herself, in spite of what other people might have said. truly, truly the definition of iconoclast.

... we salute u!!!!! for those who have been waiting breathlessly for news on the SPICE GIRLS REUNION TOUR, wait no more!!! the dates have been announced and the whole dam world will be victim to the strains of "wannabe" and "spice up your life" again . im so excited! and encouraged, because no matter how much of a sell-out you are at the beginning, theres always a "reunion" or even a "farewell" to tack onto the end to rake in sum xxx-tra ca$h! sure its good for the pocketbooks, as each spice girl is reported to walkaway with $10 mil. but its even better for the fans, who they are "doing it for" in the first place. the tour will also be a re-union of other sorts as ginger will be perfoming with the group as well. do you remember the outcry and backlash when she abandoned the group on their last world tour? i guess everything has been smoothed over and the road is clear for more spicey-ness. They're playing in San Jose on December 4th, 2007. I know its a fantasy to even entertain thoughts of anyone wanting to haul their cookies down there w/ me for the show, but get in touch if u do..... remember: SPICE UP YR LIFE!!! ......... .......... ......... i've recently returned from the hinterlands and boy are my arms tired! hahahahahaha!!!! hardeeharharhahrhahrhhhhharrrr!!!!! whatever. if by chance you've missed it, there was an enormous pop concert this past weekend ALL OVER the dam world. i think you'll recall my telling yu about it not that long ago. due to my travel schedule i could only catch a few minutes of shakira(bitch) singing her froggy little heart out. not a big fan. but i do love me sum madonna. madonna has gone into a very deep moment. shes all "man in the mirror" and shit. her new song "HEY YOU" has an official video. (see below) and just like michael jackson before her, madonna does not actually appear in said video. the concept is basically no concept. just pictures of the world and how awful it is. very katrina and starving orphans stuff. not too heavy, madonna!!!! she actually performed the song at the london live earth concert scenario. it's amazing that madonna has gotten all beatlesesque and john lennon-y. the song even has this one psychedelic breakdown. no wonder: its also produced by pharrell w. its good, but w/ the video its a bit tooooooo long but i wish i had been at the concert!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEibbBPrfxU

Im all about the hot "issue oriented" artworks these daze. Daniel Edwards is one of my favorite sculptors out there. and by 'out there', i do mean OUT THERE. i only hope he's cute and GAY. anywayz....you may remember his other famous work i discussed here a while ago. He's responsible for the britney spears giving birth sculpt. Now he's taken on underage drinking/irresponsible -decadent behaviour. "Paris' Autopsy" is a breath taking study of a nude, laid out, presumably dead Paris hilton. Her 'innards' are removeable and also include a cute lil fetus!!! Also lovingly depicted is Paris' pet chihuahua tinkerbell. The dog either is dancing for joy or trying to revive his tiara wearing human. Sign me up for Daniel's fan club and if anyone feels like getting me an expensive trinket, please pick up this statue for me. i also accept cash. luv, Bunni. xxx

Like the old commercial goes, membership does have its privliges. Just ask any of the members of the San Francisco Pride Board. A couple years ago i was under the WRONG impression. PROBLEM!!! I thought that when the board calls for festival themes from the GENERAL public, that a member of the GENERAL public would actually have a shot at "winning" . ( and as you know I'm a BIG winner...) Au contraire, my amigos. I came up with a FABULOUS entry for consideration and presented it to them. It finally came down to 2 entries: MINE and some nobodies stupid suggestion which they actually VOTED on before us in a goddam runoff. What ever happend to ranked choice???? Not here, sweethearts. I can tell u that. Anyway, the long and short of it is, the LESS good entry WON, but guess what? This person was/is on the Pride board. I AM NOT. Big surprise, dummies. I was actually told "We'll get you to be on the (pride) board yet." Fat Chance, looosers!!!! Fuk it. I dont even care about participating this year. Im Mad as Hell. and guess what? from the Advocate: in the May 22 issue, they asked "How would you deal w/ a friend who seemed unstable?" The key word, i believe is "friend". Thats just me though. the results: 87% = have sit-down w/ him/her 2% = talk to their family 9% = perform intervention 2% = contact professional i can honestly tell you in my not too distant bouts with "instability" (what am i a picnic table?) "The Women" is being remade bu y diane english. She created Murphy Brown on tv back in the day. Interestingly enuff, murphy herself, Candice Bergen ("Knock Wood") is playing Catherine Frazier, or the Main Character's Mother. Charming. Meg Ryan will play Mary Haines aka the Main Character. the whole dam movie revolves around this tired whore. i hope she can lay off the botox and collagen long enuff to squeeze out a tear, i mean decent performance. I make no bones about it: I HATE meg ryan. smegma ryan. i always have. and who the fuk told ANYBODY Eva Mendes could even hold a candle to Joan Crawford??? as Crystal Allen <3 Who ever ever ever ever could? Should be inneresting....The winner best choice is Annette Bening as Sylvie Fowler. this part requires some real acting. She is amazing and should absolutely shine and steal the whole dam movie.
