My current areas of focus in personal practice are chest rolls, 4 hoop splits, angle dance and breaks, dancing with the upper body and arms and increasing the dance with multiple hoops. Dancedancedance! My strengths are crafting performance with choreography, costuming + theming; multiple hoop splits (up to 3 almost solid with 4), freestyln a dance floor (there are really great clubs in sydney to hoop/dance at!) (favourite hoop position while dancing: the butt), larissas and other off the body moves, karate kicks, chest/shoulder/neck hooping with loads of arm action, transitions up and down the body by hand and coiling, thrill-seeking dives into the world of the unknown if only to progress, challenge, evolve and push boundaries... don't mind a bit of foot hooping in those rare platformless moments and am about to the throw myself into the world of fire hoopdance! My number one piece of advice with performance and life is - only ever work what feels right for you and what brings you joy, even if that means changing your plan on the spot!
