Catherine is my Princess Sugar Britches. There is not possibly enough room on Tribe.net, or Friendster, or my blog, or really the entire internet, to extol her virtues. If Catherine were able to actually see all of her beauty, inner and outer, her head might swell to the size of Texas, or just plain explode. She and the cup of coffee she makes for me are the two sweetest things anyone could ever hope to wake up to in the morning.

From her rebellious red hair, star-spangled boots, and overflowing Mardi-Gras closet, this woman comes from the most delightful and spunky breed of freaks. Don’t let the humility fool you, she’s an absolute rock star who knows how to nail the interview with Howard Stern, and procure a lusty hug from Eric Estrada. Leader, organizer, filmmaker, story-teller, fire spinner, all around peace maker, translator, and producer of fine smelling soaps, her talents are as endless as her kindness. She says her ambition in life is to set down a brick that makes a difference in the world. If she could put down the poi balls for a minute, she’d turn around and see the Taj Mahal she’s already built out of helping her friends.

Catherine is one of the best storytellers I know. She generously shares her gift by coaching others for shows she produces for The Moth. An eclectic dresser, she has inspired me to take more fashion risks, like dying my hair pink and mixing outre glam with grunge. Her reassurance through personal anecdotes that everyone must beat down the performance anxiety beast has brought me comfort, and will be a contributing factor in getting me back on stage.
