So I am leaving tribe.com. Not because I think facebook is superior ... but rather I am frustrated with how incredibly slooooow tribe is. I just don't think it get's the support that it once did. So in an effort to not be on yahoo, tribe, myspace, linkedin, and god knows how many other social networking situations ... for now I am going to stick with FB.

Does anyone know of a social network where it creates layers of my profile. I mean wouldn't it be nice to be connected to something like FB where I can determine who see's what pieces of my life I wanted them to see ... just like 'real life'. We are all multi-faceted people and it just seems like someone would create a social network where I get to determine who sees what sides of my life. Not just a private pictures section, but rather several sections. Hell, an unlimited number of sections. Then I get to go through my names list and determine who sees what section. A social network that let's me determine my layers of privacy. Just the same way we talk and share with people now. Hmmm. I mean I want to put out pictures and content to different people at different times. Not everyone cares that I fire spin, am an alternative energy geek, love TNG, or am into existential conundrums. Wouldn't it be nice to have one social network page where you could have your friends, family, co-workers see only certain sides of you and not even know the other sides of you existed. Why can't there be layers to facebook, just like in real life, where access is determined by 'moi'
Friend had emailed this to me recently

)*()*()*( How smart is Your Right Foot? Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon. This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot. But you can't. It's preprogrammed In your brain! 1. While sitting where you are in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make Clockwise Circles. 2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction. Sure this is silly, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.
I lost a family member last week. Well I didn't actually 'loose' her ... it was just time for her transition.

Dee Morris was my psychic mother and while I still enjoy her 'presence' ... well ... I am sad and totally bummed that she is no longer walking the path of this mortal coil. Somehow I feel overwhelmed with a flatness/sadness. She was 88, had lived a great life, was loved by a man who adored her. As a radio teletype operator in WWII she had already experienced alot, yet it was nothing compared to the years she shared with her man and the sacrifices they made in giving everything to be with each other. She was my sage, my guru, my socrates, that I could count on in a moment of darkness. She gave me so much for which I am grateful. I am thankful for her friendship. I am thankful for her guidance. I am thankful for her sight. I am thankful for the time we shared. I am thankful for her direct nature. I am thankful for the example she led. I am thankful for her mentoring. So where ever you are Dee, I love you ... thanks for the fish. )*()*()*(
