Once again another Ren-Faire has come and gone... it's been so long since I've been a part of the 'scene'.... Now bringing David into the picture makes everything different. When I was part of the scene before I was in far deep, and very much into my 'old behavior'.... i.e. being an ale swilling skirt lifting tramp... It's been almost 18 years. This weekend I found myself so lost, so not in my element like I used to be, the words were slow and odd... David was fantastic, he just wants to drink it all up, and for that I am thankful. I just wish I would want to drink up all the romance of it all... for that's where we are lacking and I am sad for it.

My deepest apologies to those I told I would be at Annabell's tonight for the show.... I had an early event this morning which lasted all day which resulted in my re-injuring my right ankle... I went home to lay down for a couple of hours so I can be all fresh and ready for tonight.... I just woke up....

I overslept today, didn't get much of anything done, then went and danced with Shauna (she's awesome) at Planet Earth Rising (she taught a tribal class). I think I finally found my instructor and class... The trip downtown for me is a little too much right now.... this is a good spot. Thank you to Gina/Kira for pointing me in the right direction. It's time for bed... busy weekend.... garage sale all day Saturday, then Annabell's Saturday night.... wahoo.... I'm so excited. I haven't seen Bo in six months, and my new friend Gina will be there. I need a good girls night out.

I am so psyched.... I bought a new djembe on Friday, took it up to the mountains and let my soul loose on it all weekend.... it was awesome! Thanks to Gina/Kira who was awesome and helped me find what I was looking for at the music store... YOU ROCK! Shouting out to NanSee!!!! Lunch was great on Thursday and I'm loving that new music mix... yeah, I'm a little hyper...'sall good. Now the question of the day.... Dancing on Thursday at Planet Earth Rising....?

a day at Ikea with the hubby... Swedish meatballs and lingonberries... a new chair for scrap room... picking out new bedroom furniture at Ikea... Sparkling Pear Cider drinks from Sweden... King size goosedown comforter for new bed... new battery for favorite watch that has been dead for like 2 years (one of those things you think you get around to but it just doesn't happen) a sushi induced coma from Mikuni's in EG.... the topper to our fabulous day....May I suggest the seared ahi (red)... OMG! Foodie bliss. It was good, tomorrow, even better... Sabbath, rest, brunch with family and planning camping trip for next week. Looking forward to dance on Wednesday night... I think I'm gonna drive this time, I know where it is and I'm not going to make the same mistake of taking RT and not getting home until almost midnight (oof dah). Well, it's my Saturday bedtime... time to coast off to LA LA land and dream of a future where I have six pack abs and my hair is longer.... that's all... nothing more. I've got all I need right now. Love to all...

Hot Pot studios last night rocked. Nancy subtly pushed me as well as my inner voices and I finally showed up and had an awesome time at the Intro fusion class with Shelly (girl you ROCK!) Met some awesome women that I've only chatted with online, and met some more I've never seen... and saw my girl Cymbelline (mwah!). When it came to get on the floor and dance all of my fears were gone and it was like an out of body experience...

It's interesting how the older I get, the more I appreciate the subtle nuances in life.... such as the music behind the phenomenon known as Cirque Du Soliel. The first time I saw it was when it was on cable, and I can't even remember which show it was.... but then years later David treated me to an evening of Dralion and it was absolutely mesmerizing... OMG... the talent of the performers mixed with the music was just unbelievable. What a sensual feast for the soul..... I highly recommend that if the show comes to town, or if you're in Vegas, go see one. I still was to go see Zumanity.... that's the racy show.... the one I've heard induces the great need to either satisfy your lust, or take a cold shower afterwards.... it's HOT! I've downloaded that soundtrack as well as a remix album they did called Tapis Rouge, which is really good....

We went and looked at a new place today, a condo, and it's completely remodeled.... niiiice. I love it, and I hope we get it. Send good karma, thoughts, whatever mojo you got in you our way because this is the best thing that's come our way in a long time. I think we're going to move in even before the house is sold.... we need to get out of here. Trust me. Tomorrow is Sushi day with some friends and then to a book party.... Nymphadora Tonks will be arriving in full regalia (including purple wig if she can find it...) Once again I'm gonna fly my geek flag high and proud.

Finally took another step closer to the dance floor... feeling bolder and braver, and much more comfortable in my own skin. I've been taking baby steps since seeing Fajera and Cymbelline dance on my birthday at Annabelles (Come and see again on August 25th! It was one rockin show, this time Tony is drumming for Cymbelline... it's going to be awesome !) Been dipping my toes in, testing the waters, seeing what's what in my sometimes topsy turvy life. Hell, it's almost midnight. I'm off to bed. Love to those who need lovin, hugs to those who need hugged, and well.... good night.

More and more I see pics and hear all of Nancy's stories I want to go.... Just don't have the time or cash or tools to go this year. Perhaps next year before David and I head out to the East Coast, kind of our last hurrah. Yeah, it looks as if David and I are headed to NC.... Raleigh to be exact. I'm pretty excited. Right now I'm just kind of chilling tonight, playing with my new vidcam for my computer. Sent another one to my mom so we (the family) can have some real time communication. Sigh.... been a good day. Smoochies to all my buds!

Yay Friday... and insanity is contagious today. Thank God I've got an appointment with Merideth today. I'm also breaking out, not fun! More water and less crap in my system, I should know better. I did do 2.5 on the blades today and I'm spent... I'm in horrid shape. The gym tomorrow morning, or up the hill to dance (if there's a class, not sure). Tomorrow, I don't know, sleeping in.... perhaps some early morning dance, or an early morning blade on the trail.

Turning 35 wasn't as bad as I feared, made it out to be worse that it was.... Going through that mid-life epiphany. Had a good day, slept in, got my hair done, went shopping and got a hot new dress then vegged out most of the day....then David and I headed up the hill and saw Fajera and Cymbeline at Annabelle's..... it was awesome. First time David had seen any of the belly dancing that I'd been telling him about. I watched and was both inspired and sad.... I should have stayed with it, but there were other things that had to be done, it wasn't my time. It's my time. I'm ready.... Friends have inspired, and now I'm gong to seek out a new instructor and I am, to say the least, stoked!!! Sigh....
