Greetings all-
I have made it home (in one piece) from my two-month South Pacific adventure. It's good to be home, except for smog, noise & traffic! I have posted photos from my travels-enjoy!

My big adventure is about to start! On Wednesday I report to my new home-away-from-home, the 500' Training Ship Golden Bear. I will be gone two months, with stops in Tahiti, Samoa, New Caledonia and Hawaii. Our longest legs are 14 days long; the shortest is five. I will get off the ship in Honolulu and fly home on June 19.
Since I will have no internet access and limited satelite e-mail access, I plan on doing a weekly mass e-mailing which I am sure someone will post to Tribe. Other...

Today was the first day of the Spring semester, and I got my "official" grades from the fall semester-4.0. WooHoo!!!

Well, after many years of consideration, I have decided to go back to school full-time to get my degree. I will be attending the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo (Cal State), and the degree will be a BS in Marine Transportation-captaining tug boats, ferrys, etc &/or Port Operations. This new chapter in my life will no doubt be exciting, challenging as well as a bit scary at first. As of September, I will be known as "Cadet McGowan"!!
