about me
Closing down my business. Selling all my worldly possesions, refitting my boat and sailing south.

Hi there! My name is micheal.
I am by no means a writer as I am self educated and struggle with the English language in it’s written form. I’m a bisexual poly sort of guy with a life, a house, a business, and lots of stuff. I’m easy enough on the eyes and my IQ is larger than my shoe size. I can hold my own in most conversations and as a tradesman I am quite handy. I wrote the following for myself and as a way of clarifying what I want out of life. I’ve decided to share this as a way of expressing who I am and what I see as my path. If you find anything interesting please feel free to contact me. If there are more than 4 I’ll need a bigger boat. I have also attached a photo of me in club wear (AKA slut wear)

I dream of walking through a bazaar in Istanbul with a woman that makes me smile and finding the perfect trinket to send home. Or laying on a tropical beach with no one around but the 2 or 3 or?? of us. Eating fresh caught fish and mango's. Wondering why people work so hard for a new car. Or talking about the last book I read.

Intentional community, what is MY ideal ....

To start with, I want to sail the world and explore what our earth has to offer. I want as many friends, lovers, partners and good folk that I can have in my life. While maintaining a healthy life and relationships that reflect back love and acceptance . People who share my wonder lust. Those that want to share my dream of a sea gypsy life and are willing to go as far as I am to attain it.

I have one experience I can share on a short trip to Monterey bay. Anchored off Capitola pear I awoke to the sounds of the waves meeting the beach. It was beginning to warm up and I rolled out of my bunk, made coffee on the old kerosene stove and went out on deck to greet the day. I sat on the bow pulpit admiring the view and as I sipped the hot beverage I saw a pair of pacific dolphins swim by the bow. They were small and blueish black with white stripes down there sides. They passed under the bow, surfaced, took a breath and disappeared into their watery world. I had to smile. I took another sip and wondered not why I came this way. I stood there took a deep breath and looked forward to what else the day would offer my senses. I have never felt more intimate with the world.

My vision, is centered around giving up the security of the land for the freedom of the open sea. I imagine sitting on a beach with my “family” and reading, living, loving and just being who I am. Absent are the pressures of social compliance. Living from day to day with only the wind and the seasons dictating our travel. To pack up and head to warm sunny climates in the winter and migrate like the birds or other natural creatures is what occupies my dreams. Work when I like, read what interests me, and write the shared wonders of the people of the earth. To shed the trappings of a consumer existence for the life and freedom of the sea.

I believe this dream to be possible, but not with out cost. A challenging life to be sure. I can do this alone, but how diminished the experience would be. Not to share the wonders of the world as they happen is such a waist. I hope through this writing I can show those inclined, my vision. I see a great deal of hard work followed be indescribable experiences. And at the end really knowing what it feels to be alive. Shedding the bonds of economic slavery and being a global citizen. Sailing is to me equally about the journey and the destination.

Any takers???

For years now, we’ve been hearing “shift happens,” and wondering
when, where and how. Now finally, it looks as if the shift is about
to hit the fan. This is good news for all those shift fans who’ve
been wondering if the new age will arrive before old age does. Of
course, ... read more

THE CRACKED POT

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his master'... read more

I will be posting for crew for the up coming season on different tribes. The idea is going to be an e-mail list that I will be posting updates and all the sailing stuff that has to do with the boat. If you are a total newbie thats ok, if you're an old salt I could use some input on some major projects. I'll need help in the boat yard and who ever puts in the most effort and hours will get the best spots on the boat for day sails and shake down cruises ect. The crew request may look a little ... read more

I thought this a joke at first. But no it is real, or surreal I should say. I started poking around the net about gender to be better educated and I found this............. www.genselect.com/ I personally find this so distasteful I have a hard time grasping the concept that someone would even consider a designer child. Maybe I need to get out more, maybe less?
