Taaj is my mentor and more importantly, my friend. Now that I've "left the nest", I am constantly amazed by the sheer amount of information and tools I have gained through her tutelage - both as a dancer and as a professional. Her insight on bellydance business matters is profound, and I'm grateful to have her as a sounding board. As a tour guide/facilitator in Egypt, WE got special treatment from the local Cairenes, just because we were with Taaj. As a teacher, she is incredibly generous with her time and insight into dance technique and gives her students what they need on an individual basis. Best of all, she has a wicked sense of humour and a smile that lights up the room!

SCREEEECH! Stop! I have to reschedule this event. I didn't realize it was the same say as the Lynchburg hafla. I will get back with you guys once I can get Kalaa and Brianna's availability.

I would add that if I were doing it all over again, I'd wait until I had done most of what i want to do as a dancer. It's very difficult to keep your skills up to par when you are teaching as teaching takes a lot of time. That is time you won't ha...
