Burt is the unknown, uncredited hero of the Hawai'i punk/alternative scene. Legions of Honolulu kids should bow down to him, but alas they neither have a sense of gratitude or history.

Burt is definitely responsible for warping me into the zine guy I am. I'm honored to have been part of his Brouhaha zine, thegigs at Club Hubba Hubba, and an occasional guest on his show on KTUH.

I love Burt! If you've got the time, introduce yourself. You won't regret it. He has the Aloha spirit running through him.

Burt is a great source of inspiration and information here on the island (and in this group). His column in the Honolulu Advertiser reflects what is on the cutting edge, and very hip. Always quick to reply to email, I'm proud to have Burt here on tribe as my friend.
