Kind Words

December 20, 2007
O I think it's easy to say that Mudge is one of my favorite guys of all time. I love his curmudgeonly soul with simple abandon. The funny thing is that Mudge is only a "mudge" when provoked. And while a mudge is more easily provoked than others mebbe, I find this Mudge to be the fuzziest bunniest Mudgecicle of them all. In fact, it's when this Mudge gets his dander up that I find him the most fun to be around. Unless he's mad at me. And then we have a good fight and move on. Because you have to make up with the Mudge. It's necessary. I, personally, find that the having of Mudge in my life has enriched my life beyond measure and not only that - I think my legs got longer and my boobs grew! No really! Ladies, try it out. Let Mudge enrich your lives in his many ways! :) Love you, Fuzzy Bunny. ~m

The Mudge is the rockinist! Tromboninist! Fuzziest! Big Heartedest! Most wonderful sweet fella there ever is or was.

I love hearing him play.. I love watching him perform and hearin him sing.. and I love how big his heart is.

:::Cheers and here's to you my wonderful friend!:::::

Mudge is, in the words of my grandfather, "One hellofa fella" He is a mench... the hebrew word for "a real person" the kind of guy you can count on, and trust. He gives great big bear hugs because he is just that.. a big teddy bear. If he could, he would give you the shirt off his back, and then drink you under the table when you try to give it back. If you haven't already and you get the chance, go listen to his music, it will blow your socks off. Very happy and proud to call him a good friend.

A big thanks to everyone who showed up this past weekend! It was a long one but a good one. If you live in or around Long Beach and would like to catch the Dixiedelics we will be playing at a wee Farmer's Market in Long Beach twice in the month of March. The Farmers' Market is every Saturday and it is located on First Street between Linden and Elm Avenues. We will be performing from 10AM-2PM on the first and last Saturdays of March, the 7th and 28th.

It is a cool little market. There ... read more

about me
I was born in Chicago, Illinois and my family moved to sunny Southern California the very next year. I grew up in Cypress (just behind the Orange Curtain) and have lived in the same bitchen' house in Long Beach since 1992 and until recently with a slightly crazed accordion playing roommate. I have a new seemingly sane roommate who is a so far a joy and a cat named Olive who is more beneficial to my mood than Lexapro, Zoloft, Prozac, whiskey, or weed have ever been.

I am a singer and a trombone player. I spend a lot of time making music with lots of different people. I also do what I have to do to make enough money to keep playing as much music as I do. Sometimes I teach music, other times I work in offices or freelance as a desktop publisher, I occasionally wait tables, go to sea, or bleach my beard and hair white and work as a Santa. I am currently a temp-to-hire (knock-on-wood) publishing specialist for a ginormous Japanese owned auto parts company which is really close to me home. May this job or at least some state of blessed employment continue in perpetuity (I am really hoping that they invited me to be an associate sooner rather than later) and may the road always rise up to meet you.
