Art Contest
(events » arts)
Thursday, January 17, 2008 - 12:00 PM
Skinny Devil Music Lab is holding an art contest. Designs can be for a new logo, new "devil", graphics of me w/guitar, etc. (but submissions so far have been mostly of the words "Skinny Devil Music Lab" in bold, so you might wanna try something more original).
Finalist will be chosen with the help of 2 professional graphic designers. Finalists' art will then be displayed on the site - www.skinnydevil.com - and we'll accept public voting (which will account for roughly 50% of the final decision), and then a winner chosen.
The winner's art will be displayed (with credit) on the site, be placed on a new Skinny Devil T-shirt, and win $100.
Visit www.skinnydevil.com and submit queries & art via e-mail (skinnydevil AT skinnydevil DOT com and CC to sdmusiclab AT netscape DOT net)

The King is dead." was all she said. I didn't know what king she was talking about, I was just bummed because she sent me home - it was time to mourn. I walked home and my mom explained...
I remember the day John Lennon died. I woke up, turned on the radio (different town...

A happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there!
I had a blast at Woodsong, playing back-up for Michael Johnathon (getting to play with his amazing ensemble is always an honor) and sitting on the stage next to Grammy nominee & IBMA award winner Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, and just a few feet away from blues master & WC Handy Award nominee Guy Davis. WOW!
We had a ROCKIN' drum jam/drum circle at Cheapside Park last night - about a dozen folks there with a nice variety of noise makers (inclu...
