My Testimonials

September 22, 2007
Rio is the kindest most generous person I have ever known! I would totally trust my life to this fabulous woman, in fact I have. She has been my knight in shining armor more than once!

She's funny, adventurous, and gorgeous!

She's the queen of finding parking in the hardest places (you should hear her pray to Asphalta, the parking goddess.)

I adore Rio and I would have never had so many adventures in the bay area if it weren't for this woman!

about me
I'm busy and have a lot of friends, but will make room for more. Love to dance, almost any kind of music. Like all humans, I'm a submissive to my cat. I'm adventurous, compassionate, playful, loyal, love to laugh, and I'm a big tease. I love the excitement of life! I'm dating around, new to the kink scene, a switch looking for more play partners. Esp. into bondage, sex and sensation play, but my motto is "I'll try anything once." (Hmm, I do have some limits, though.)

Tales of my sexual self

Having gotten out of the habit of writing this blog, I must re-train myself to do it more frequently. It's not that I'm not doing anything - I'm busy as ever - I'm just not writing about it as much.

Work continues to be extra busy, although I've put some limits on what I do so it isn't quite as crazy. I've gotten really involved in community stuff - volunteering for the Exiles [www.theexiles.org/home.html], working on the Venus Playground women's area for Folsom [http://folsomstreet... read more

I'm coming out of my winter shell now that Spring is creeping in. And I *have* been playing, just not as publicly as before. Plus my work life has become absolutely insane (temporarily), so I haven't been on Tribe as much.

I spoke in an earlier blog about easy play pals who come - and go - quickly, and people reccommended working on establishing ongoing involvements, which I've been doing. And, much as I love the Citadel, it's a tough place to consistently meet women. So I've gotten more i... read more

Yeah, I'm still around, still seeing people, still doing some playing. I'm just not very enthusiastic about anything right now. Like a lot of people, I have a harder time in the winter, with the lack of light. The weather's not so great, so I can't do as many outdoors-y things. And work is providing more than its share of stress right now. I just didn't want you-all to think I've dropped off the map.

I had a great time at the Exiles program last Friday - it was on Ass Play, and like all of... read more

To finish out 2007, I had three play dates on the last three days of the year. Whoopie!

On Saturday my trans male friend, who's moved out of town, returned for a visit. So far, he's the only man I've let top me (a situation I'm unlikely to change, for now). We'd planned to go to the Citadel, but he was feeling a bit under the weather, so we hung out with his roommate and his wife and checked out their Xmas gifts. His wife had given him a freestanding sling for a present - wow - and when he... read more

The Exiles' Carnal Carnival on Friday Dec 21st was an anniversary of sorts for me - the first year anniversary of my "official" entry into the scene. Last year I went to check out if this stuff was for me - and it was. This year I was on the committee planning the event, and I suggested and helped run a booth on Sensation Play.

On the one hand, it takes a lot of planning to pull off something like this, but on the other hand it went pretty smoothly because everyone knew their responsibilit... read more

My Favorite Quotes

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold. - Helen Keller

You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm. - Colette

It spite of illness, in spite even of the archenemy sorrow, one can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things, and happy in a small way. – Edith Wharton

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." You must do the thing you think you cannot do. – Eleanor Roosevelt

On March 1st, 2006, in Annapolis, MD, Jamie Raskin, Professor of Law at American University, testified at a hearing on a proposed Constitutional Amendment to prohibit gay marriage. At the end of his testimony, Republican Senator Nancy Jacobs said: "Mr. Raskin, my Bible says marriage is only between a man and a woman. What do you have to say about that?" Raskin replied: "Senator, when you took your oath of office, you placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. You did not place your hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible."

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. - Teddy Roosevelt

A little bad taste is like a nice dash of paprika. - Dorothy Parker

My Recent Activity

Re: And something to be proud of for Pride, 2008 (in SF The Citadel) If you read the court's decision, they answered, one by one, every single criticism/reason why gays shouldn't marry, and demolished them all.

My favorite line: " An individual's sexual orientation - like a person's race or gender - does not co... read more

Re: Pride 2008. (in SF The Citadel) I did this last year, and it was a blast. (except for the truck speeding up and leaving us all spread out down the street). The crowd energy was great - they loved flogging demos - and I had a great time with the other marchers.

Publicity for the zine (in Kink-e-Zine) Dear friends,

Now that we're up and running, I think we need to do more to promote the zine. I run into people all the time who've never heard of us - experienced people in the scene - but they're not on Tribe, and miss out on all of our fabulo... read more
