In regards to belly dancing...I was first introduced to this beautiful dance back in 2001. When I moved to the Bay Area, my first instructor there got me completely hooked, and she encouraged me to start performing. Later, I joined Malia DeFelice's troupe, New Moon Rising Belly Dance Ensemble. I am still very much a "newbie" to the world of belly dancing! Unfortunately, I got out of the "belly dancing loop" for a couple of years, and I am now seeking a new instructor to hook up with. There are many amazing dancers out there, but some who really stand out in my mind are Rachel Brice, and the Ultra Gypsy dancers. I admire these wonderful dancers, and feel more and more inspired to dance every time I see them!

Before I developed a love for belly dance, I was a serious equestrian from the time I was 1 1/2 years old, and I began competing at age 5. I have competed heavily in the hunter/jumper circuit, 3-Day eventing, and dressage. At age 12, I was the youngest person ever to qualify for the National Dressage finals in L.A. I was in an accident with a horse when I was 14, and took a break for awhile afterwards. I hope to compete again at some point.
