Ive organised a Shamanic Adventure into Peru

<div>Hi,
Its Dean Jefferys here, the filmmaker who made the Shamans of the Amazon DVD. Im sending this once in 5 years email to you as at some time you have bought my doco Shamans of the Amazon or indicated you may be interested in a trip to meet with some Shamans from South America. If you do not want to receive any further shamanic info or emails from me let me know and Ill make sure you dont.

Since I organised the last Shamanic Adventure into Peru and Machu Picchu in 2004 amongst other things, I have been working solidly to help the whales and dolphins swim free. I will be crossing the pacific to go to the International Whaling commission meeting in Chile in June to try to help the whales and dolphins and thought this was a good opportunity to organise another Shamanic Adventure into Peru. Read the reports from my last trip and get more info about the trip at http://www.shamansoftheamazon.com. This trip also fits in with The Fourth International Amazonian Shamanism Conference: Magic, Myths &amp; Miracles, Iquitos, Peru July 19th-27th, 2008 see http://www.soga-del-alma.org/ConferenceSite/

So I am organising some shamanic trip options for those who may want to join me and have a direct experience with Ayahuasca, San pedro, the mountains, the jungle the shamans and everything else. You can't go to Peru without visiting the Sacred valley and Machu Picchu region. I have meet a strong shaman named Sayre who lives in the Sacred valley to facilitate the journey. Sayre is a descendant from the Incas. We ran an amazing tour together in 2004. see a short clip I made of that trip at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oI-PSBxa50 Also see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4ru3z0OtXE&amp;NR=1

We have put together a great journey visiting many of the sacred sites in the Sacred valley and Sayre will run many San Pedro and Ayahuasca ceremonies throughout the 16 day trip around the Sacred valley and Pulcalpa in the Amazon jungle, from the 3rd of July to the 18th of July. In Pulcalpa we live and drink with the Shipibo people and shaman until the start of the conference on the 19th of July. See itinary. http://www.shamansoftheamazon.com/journey2.htm For more information about the Shipibo and the work Sayre is doing with them see http://web.iapicc.org/. and http://www.weaversofwisdom.org/index.php?id1=projects&amp;id2=shipibo

I will also be staying on in the Iquitos region after the Shamanic conference for a week and visiting an Ayahuascaro shaman to do more ceremony. You may wish to also attend the conference ( you have to organise and pay for the conference seperately) and if you want to spend more time in Peru with the medicine join me before and / or after the conference. The Sacred valley, Machu Picchu, Pulcalpa trip is $2400 USD for the 16 days and 15 nights. Which works out at $160 pr night. It will be a jammed pact shamanic adventure, not for the light hearted.

Once you arrive in Cusco everything including sessions will be paid and catered for. Internal flights though will need to be paid by you. If you want to join me just for the amazon leg after the conference I have organised a 7 day 6 night amazon shamanic adventure it will be $780 = $130 pr day. Again everything will be catered for including aya sessions. We will be going to see Percy Garcia. He has been working with medicinal plants for over 25 years since he was 12 years old. Percy has excellent ayahuasca and he is a very very humble man. He has private cabins as well as his maloca, everything is screened in. The maloca was built over a small river, really nice. He is about 48 kilometers outside of Iquitos. We should get 2 or 3 ayahuasca sessions in, in that time. He has lots of information about medicinal plant of the jungle he will share with us and take us to some special places in the amazon Jungle. We will also learn how to prepare the sacred brew.

As this journey starts in only 6 weeks I need to get numbers sorted out and confirmed asap. I will only have maximum 12 people on each trip so first in with the deposit will be ensured a position. So if you are interested you need to pay 25% of the trips deposit to me by the end of May or asap. The balance can be paid when we meet in Peru. So if you are joining me from the 3rd till the 18th a total of 16 days 15 night its $2400 USD . 25% = $600 usd Or if you are just joining me for 7 days 6 nights of the Iqutos section, 25% of $780 = $195 deposit. If you are paying with paypal rather than bank transfer add 4%

Also I want to let you know that I have just released a new DVD which includes all my Shamanic stuff. Its a 3 DVD Boxed set and includes some classic extra clips from the cutting room floor. Its 332 mins of running time. Its for sale from my http://www.shamansoftheamazon.com/sales.htm website.I ll be shooting another doco on the trip and may be doing some live internet streaming of both conferences in SA from my still to be built Online TV website. Ill let you know when it happens.

Also Im am planning three, 10 day retreats called "Diving into whale conciousness" in Tonga on a small tropical island in the middle of the pacific ocean, starting mid August. Tonga is one of 3 locations on the globe where humans can legally swim with whales and the humpbacks come here to breed and play from July to October. see http://www.malaislandresort.com/ for a taste of what im organising there. It will be around $2500 for 10 days with the whales.

If for some strange reason I dont get the numbers for the trip your deposit will be refunded 100% If you pull out half your deposit will disappear into another dimension. If you are interested please respond expressing your interest and I will put you on a special email list that I will send out more info to you. If you have any friends who you feel may be interested in one of these trips feel free to pass this web address onto them. Likewise if you or a friend has a related shamanic type website that may wish to swap web links feel free to pass this one onto them or contact me. If you are on my email list and someone you recommend this trip to, comes on the trip, you can recieve $50 aud and a free 3 DVD boxed set of "Shamans of the Amazon" For more details, photos and reports from the last trip see other pages on my website. http://www.shamansoftheamazon.com
Also see a 8 minute clip of "Shamans of the Amazon" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NZpOXj6u78

I hope to be at both the International Whaling commission and the The Fourth International Amazonian Shamanism Conference with My http://www.Planetearthinternettv.com to do live interactive internet streaming of the events and all that happens around it. Including run downs of the days events and interviews with delegates and activists. Its not up yet but check it in a week or so. And stay tuned.

    </a>
										<div>Hi,
Just thought you might like to know about a project Im working on to help the whales. If you are not able to be a sponsor earmark my website or join my myspace site and follow this exciting journey for the whales.

“Flight of the Humpback”
Outline:
“Flight of the Humpback” is a carefully thought out strategy to contribute to the global effort to stop whaling. For the first time in over 30 years, this December 2007, Australian humpbacks and other endangered whales will be targeted by Japanese whalers when they return to the Antarctic.

There are 3 main elements to this strategy.
The Journey
The Website
The Film

The Journey and Interactive Website will be funded as one project and happen simultaneously. The Film will include the Journey and will be separately funded and include extra material.

The Journey: Australia, July, August, September, October.
At the core of “Flight of the Humpback” is the journey of a group of passionate activists, musicians and celebrities who sail and interact with the humpbacks on their migration along the east coast of Australia. The aim of the crew and the journey is to raise public awareness to the plight of these endangered humpbacks and other targeted whales and inspire people to take action to ensure their continued protection. A large 65 foot catamaran called the “Pelican” will be an exciting filming platform and an important tool to meet and network with people along the migration route. The Pelican is a state of the art ocean sailing catamaran designed for marine research, film production, eco tourism, and environmental education. The Pelican will visit around 15-20 ports on route over a 3 month period along the east coast of Australia including Sydney, Brisbane the Great Barrier Reef and Hervey Bay where the migrating humpbacks play, mate, rest, fatten up their babies and prepare for the long southern journey back to the Antarctic. Australian indigenous representatives will join the Pelican and share there traditional connections with the whales. We will hear the prophecy of Jiddera, the white whale. In fact there is now a white whale know as Migaloo among the Australian eastern humpbacks who has become the icon of the migration.

These port visits will help galvanise Australian opposition to Japanese whaling and generate public awareness of the action based website. This exciting interactive website will show regular video clips of the journey and become a dynamic forum and tool for people to lobby and become active for the whales. Ongoing media attention at the ports will allow “Flight of the Humpback” spokespeople, concerned locals, whale watch operators, politicians and celebrities to express their feelings about the escalated illegal whaling by Japan. Whale films, music, journey footage, research and up to date action information will be presented to the public. Each port / community will be invited to adopt a humpback whale as their icon. These port meetings will galvanise support for a major action at Parliament House prior to the Federal election to pressure the government to take stronger measures to help the whales. At the end of the Australian journey, key crew members will continue the “Flight of the Humpback” with the Sea Shepherds or Greenpeace to the Antarctic to physically confront the Japanese whalers and try to stop them from killing whales.
Sponsors
For $10,000 USD or $12,150 AUD, groups, companies or individuals can be major sponsors of the ‘Flight of the Humpback’ project. This will give the sponsor a branding of their name and logo on the front page of the ‘Flight of the Humpback’s’ website (with an active link to their home website), a pendant or banner on the boat, credits in the film and a mention where possible in media releases. Sponsors would be encouraged to let their members know about ‘Flight of the Humpback’ and follow its activities. Major sponsors would be permitted some time on the Pelican and given the opportunity to express opinions related to whale conservation. There may also be opportunities for sponsors to give presentations and screen video clips at ports and on the website. Any level of financial support from groups or individuals will be gratefully received.

This is a fantastic opportunity for sponsors to significantly contribute to the global effort to ensure the whales’ continued protection. This is a massive global networking and awareness project, with the intention to inspire people and groups all around the world to unite for the whales.

    </a>
<div>2 weeks in Hervey Bay with the whales
>
> Wooooooooowwwwww Ive just spent 2 weeks in Hervey Bay with the whales.
> what an amazing experience. Everyday more whales just wanting to connect.
>
> I have now made 5x 7 minute documenteries that I have posted on my
> website from this boat floating in Hervey Bay over the last 2 weeks and
> invite people to veiw and enjoy with me the bliss many have already felt
> with the whales. see http://www.flightofthehumpback.org While your on
> the site take some time to write or send a form letter to the japanese
> ambasidor or the ceo of Sony Toyota or Mitsubishi and expess what you
> feel about Japan killing whales. Can you pass my website address and
> this email on to people you feel may want to help the whales and
> dolphins. http://www.flightofthehumpback.org I have 4 more weeks to
> come in Hervey bay so stay tuned. More clips whale songs and ritual
planned.
>
> Also sep 20 is International day to Protest the Dolphin Slaughter by
> Japan Day, September 20th, 2006: More info below. There is a form letter
> on my site for this too. Last year we did an action at the japanes
> consulate in brisbane. Terri from the gold coast is organising another
> demo .If you want to go,email her on tmelloway@ozemail.com.au and
> express your interest. I may b e doing a demo in Hervey Bay.
>
> Also "the gathering" docco is on ABC from 15/9/06 about Bunna Lawrie
> and the
> story of his reconnection with the dreaming and the whales. The film is
> changing the lives all who view it.
>
> The Australian TV Premiere of "The Gathering" 3-part series begins 6pm
>
> Friday 15th Sept, then consecutive Fridays, 22nd &amp; 29th Sept.
>
>
> Story from Hervey Bay
>
> Whales are very much part of our life around Byron Bay. After whaling
> stopped in 1961 the whales have been coming in closer and interacting
> with humans more. The same story is echoed at many place that whales
> pass or visit. In Hervey Bay where Humpback whales stop for a month or
> two to play, mate, rest and fatten their babies everyone says that each
> year there is better and better interaction happening between whales and
> humans. Humans killing whales has become just a story the elders tell
> their offspring or maybe its just a distant memory in the few old ones
> that servived the slaughter years. And now as early as December 2006 we
> return to those slaughter years. Japan intends to kill up to 50 of these
> magestic creatures every year. No doubt this will increase the gap and
> lose the trust that has been built between whales and humans over the
> last 45 years. As I experience this trust first hand from a friends boat
> in Hervey Bay I feel the tradgedy this renewed killing will have on the
> whales and I lament on the lost this will be for all humans that
> presently get so much soul food from feeling the whales close up. One
> day a large humpback came up from under the boat bearing its white under
> belly with its plectral fins wide open. Would this same whale do the
> same next year if it had to spend the summer dodging Japanese harpoons
> and hearing there family exploding and screeming into death. I fear not.
>
> I have now made 5x 7 minute documenteries that I have posted on my
> website from this boat floating in Hervey Bay over the last 2 weeks and
> invite people to veiw and enjoy with me the bliss many have already felt
> with the whales. While your on the site take some time to write or send
> a form letter to the japanese ambasidor or the ceo of Sony Toyota or
> Mitsubishi and expess what you feel about Japan killing whales.
>
> Some whales are already leaving Hervey Bay and starting their long
> southern migration. I hope they dont become the victom of humanities
> stupidity and that this was the last year ever we were able to get close
> up and personal with the whales.</div>

explain colours to a blind man

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/c5ad8e1e-af29-441b-9087-28fbaaacad09/blog/0257c9c8-b50c-497f-b8ad-859b1b4e58b4"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/64a/514/64a51455-e930-47df-a468-7b0a10f382b5.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>How does one explain colours to a blind man or a shamanic hallucinogenic journey to someone who has never experienced one?

All that can be expressed are the insights, visions, colours and emotions experienced. The real feeling of having a psychoactive plant communicating with you and opening you to other realities is beyond accurate description. With that in mind I will attempt to describe my shamanic journey in Peru with 6 Australians 1 American, 3 Peruvians, the San Pedro Cactus and the Amazon Jungle vine Ayahuasca.
Southern Peru, especially the Machu Picchu region has been surrounded by a mystical aura for good reason, it was the heart and soul of the ancient Inca civilisation. Sun worship was just a small part of their deep and complicated nature based culture.

As I sat in the specifically placed stone temples and with the San Pedro cactus opening the way I could often feel Inca shamans that have journeyed before me using these teacher plants to gain insights into harmonising with earths natural forces. Was it this harmonising that enable them to cut huge stone blocks and move them using what we would say were supernatural powers?

Their connection with the astral realms as well as the natural and supernatural kingdoms became obvious as we journeyed deeper into their stone sacred sites, rituals and culture. Portals into other time zones seemed to open and the many flat rock altars seemed to hold a collective memory of past rituals performed there.

A condor that visited us during a full moon ritual at the temple of the sun at the Ollientytambo ruins made me feel like we were closing the gap of separation many humans have with nature. The condor could feel that and came to check us out. Standing on the top of Machu Picchu Mountain on a protruding large rock the shape of a condors head I could certainly feel, that with the right conditions and training condor and animal awareness could be transferred to human consciousness.

Everyone went on this shamanic journey for different reasons, from the 25 year old computer head from Melbourne who had never had hallucinogens to the 65 year old psychodelic veteran. All hoping these plants and the shaman guide would help them to discover and reveal their own interpretation of the great mysteries. On reflection I feel much was received, not necessarily what was expected. In fact expect the unexpected became the mantra of the journey. Our shaman/guide, was a descendant from the Incas and has spent 30 years working and experimenting with these teacher plants. Our training was relentless and the rest days were few and far between. We were pushed both physically and emotionally, helping us to break down the barriers that prevented us from experiencing the teachings more completely.

We eventually dragged ourself away from this ancient cultural area to the Amazon. Travelling by boat we passed two huge granite sentinels like in the &amp;#8220;Lord of the rings&#8221; they seemed to guard and watch over this river gateway to the Amazon and the Machu Picchu region. A local legend says that if anyone tries to climb them they would never return and instead turn into animals or fairies. Maybe we climbed the wrong one.

We visited a local Machingangas village by a widening Amazon tributary close to the jungle Camisea natural gas pipeline project. We talked to some Machingangas about how they felt about this 2.4 Billion dollar project that will extract gas from their territory and send it in a buried pipeline 700 km over the Andes to Peru&amp;rsquo;s capital Lima. Most seemed to be pretty happy about the short term employment and an injection of funds into this forgotten area yet there was some concern expressed about its long term environmental and social impact as well as the survival of two uncontacted tribes living in the proposed drilling area.

Interestingly two huge US Oil companies are involved in the Camisea Gas pipeline, Hunt Oil, from Texas and the US Halliburton company. Halliburton will be setting up a gas processing plant next to the Paracas Marine park on the coast against the wishes of many who believe the potential threat to many endangered species within the park would be to great. Due to extensive lobbying from human rights and Environmental groups world wide in September this year the Export-Import Bank of the United States voted against supporting the project and refused a US $214 million loan.

While I was in Peru I heard of massive protests in Bolivia, where there was a general uprising against the Bolivian president selling of its gas recourses to multinational companies too cheaply and the government wanting to send the gas to their arch enemies Chile to be processes. Now after 70 people were massacred by the Bolivian police and military and the president has been deposed and fled to Miami, Bolivia&amp;rsquo;s gas may end up going through the Amazon to Camisea and Peru instead. For more information, see http://www.amazonwatch.org/ or http://www.camisea.com.pe

While the others left for adventures in Peru and Australia I stayed on with a friend to examine some amazing land owned by the national park ranger next to the sentinels with the idea of establishing an Ayahuasca centre and bring shamans there so people can study with them in a safe, non intrusive environment.

Now after flying 25 hours from the other side of this planet the whole journey and the realities visited seem almost like a dream. Teacher plants and composted plants as fossil fuels both facilitating this amazing journey. Can these insights be achieved in a simpler way? How will human interaction with these plants effect planetary evolution. I am left with more questions than answers.

The suburbs of Sydney now sprawl out like a huge matrix below me. Was our journey just a temporary glitch in this matrix of life or was it an insight into the real world? And what is real anyway?</div>
