about me
I have been interested in skillful things since my youth and learned to juggle at a young age, this coupled with a love for performance and travel and a strong sense of independence has guided me into my current way of life. My wife (Jennifaerie) and I are the owners of TryOut Toys Entertainment LLC, we base our business, and lives, on the importance of being playful. We live, with our 4 year old son Ayden, in NH but travel frequently to different fairs and festivals around the country by traveling in a 1996 International Bus (The Home Bus.) We perform at Tai Chi festivals, corporate events, music festivals & many other gatherings all around the USA.
We make our living performing, inspiring, teaching and selling supplies for the art of Sphereplay (a.k.a: Contact ball, contact juggling, dynamic manipulation, palm spinning, the chinese health balls, spheredancing, orbology, camel backing and many other names over it's 10,000 year history.)
As a company, and as, hopefully, conscience aware human beings, we try to inspire people towards a more playful lifestyle. We use toys and spheres as some of our way of playing but recognize that there are many different ways to healthy play.
To me, the important thing is that people play in a way that allows them to be"in the moment" as well as being in a space that is safe to be creative.
I will post my whole story, over time in another module.

So we have been off the road for 41 days now and it's kind of strange. Waking up in a bedroom that has more sq. footage than the homebus is still a weird feeling. The fact that almost everything we own is out of storage bins and accesible is nic...

I hate yard work and the lawn is like 2 ft high but having a yard is kind of cool.
I dislike doing dishes but it's not so bad when you have consistant hot running water.
So it's a mixed thing and I am enjoying the house experience but...

6 years ago this week we opened our first sphereplay booth at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We offered 3"clear, 2.75" clear, 2.5" clear and black & 3" wood. That was it 5 types of spheres( we are now up to aprox 40 different sphere options)
This was the fair where we decided that we needed to put out our ...

I had a really nice 3.25" amethyst sphere, it was gorgeous, I mean really really pretty and I absolutely loved that sphere! I was in Florida one winter hanging out around a traveler friendly house where I was playing with this amethyst sphere inside the house where a DJ was spinning some really good re gee/ house/ jazz fusion. It was really nice music to sphereplay with.
Well, I was on and pulling off some of the more difficult stuff I could do at the time. I had been playing for about ...

It's funny I never thought I would appreciate being in TX so much! The weather is great now, a tad warm but whose complaining, and the people we hang out with are so cool.
Over this weekend Ayden, went with Josh and 3 of his friends and came home super exhausted, he even fell asleep face down on a chair while waiting for me to finish an e-mail. It was too cute!
I'm looking forward to seeing all the cool people I meet at the Renaissance fair, it's one of the highlights of this style of...

It's that time again..... I woke to a chill in the air under a pile of blankets this morning and I realized what that signifies..... It's time to head to warmer climates. The thing I miss most about New England, besides my friends and family, is the change from fall to winter, the color of the leaves, the crisp autumn days and chilly nights. Not so damn cold that being outside is painful, just enough to put on a sweater or a warm jacket! Yum.
But, TX awaits us, there is fun to be had...
