Marta's veils truly are one of a kind. I have two of them myself. She can make just about anything with these veils.

about me
I have been teaching 7-12 grade art now forever. This is officially my 15th year. (wow, am I really that old?!) I am married, (check out his profile at people.tribe.net/958c3521-...4eaa09be39 ) and have 3 step children 22, 21, and 17. I am also the proud parent of one dog (Shayodi) 4 cats (Sarah, Seymour, Sargent and Sable)
Take a look at my hand dyed veils! I am LOVING dying silk and making my own stuff. You can see them here in my photos section here in the tribes or on my website at www.miners-peak.com/bellydance

An amazing and creative woman who, with her colorful silk veils, brings beauty and goodness to all!

Marta is the creator of some of the most beautiful veils I have ever seen, a very talented artist, and one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting online. I hope to have the honour of meeting her in person someday! I absolutely treasure my Madre Luna veils, and they garner compliments wherever I go with them. Marta's veils are like potato chips--you can't stop with just one!

I just received my veils. They are STUNNING! My husband (who can't match his own socks and hasn't a clue about veils) LOVED them. They are just breathtaking, like a painting. Your picture of them was beautiful, but was nothing compaired to the real thing.
Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! July 16, 2007
Everyone has commented on Marta's incredible art talent, but she is also a great ear to hear. She helped me through a bad week towards the end of college and even though it was just a few e-mails it made all the difference in the world that week.
One of my dance friends brought this to practice tonight. Her two young boys are "catering". *grin* So they made us a cake tonight....YUMMY! They baked and decorated it themselves. Very talented boys....they were very excited about the tip I sent home with their Mom.

I love it when I have a good dye day.....the color gods smiled down on me. After about two weeks of "remodel" Bert and I have our new tile down....thank goodness for friends and strong backs and knees. Bert and I are almost walking normal again *grin* we still have two more light fixtures to replace and I am waiting for my new fridge and stove to be delivered....stainless steel and I LOVE them! I dyed my first two veils today in my "new" kitchen....yes, I am a bit of a kitchen witch and do a ...

miners-peak.com/bellydance/ After a day of working on it I just had to share *smile* I have sat in front of this damn comupter ALL DAY! But, I feel really good about it.....if anyone who has purchased anything from me is willing, I'd love pictures for the photo page....*HUG*
I can't begin to tell you how much I needed this long weekend. I had wed-sunday off...away from the kids, nothing I HAD to do. It was a quiet weekend with not a lot going on. Family came down to stay with Mom, which was nice. Dad's wierd back stimulator is sorta working so he was actually able to enjoy some of it......and Marci came down which I was thrilled with. She stopped by school on Tuesday for a few min, and I spent some time with her throughout the weekend. We screwed around on Frida...

I finally did it....I did a solo. My teacher has been bugging me forever and I kept chickening out....but last weekend in a small gathering of friends (I love our small community haflas) I danced. Bert has been telling me for a year now that the song "edie" by the Cult reminded him of me. I decided to try and dance to it in a suprise for him. I didn't get much practice in....mostly frantic spinning while Bert was off playing racketball a few times....I wasn't amazing by any means, but it fel...
