Gates to Now

Every thing, event or thought is a point of intersection between creature and Creator, between a more or less distant manifestation of God and a ray, so to speak, of the unmanifest Godhead; every thing, event or thought can therefore be made the doorway through which a soul may pass out of time into eternity. - Aldous Huxley

Times Square - a quiet square?

What is Times Square beneath all its layers of noise, speed, billboards, facades, and sensual impressions, all our opinions, thoughts, and all those things that exist in time and space? Appearances can be deceptive; what is it like naked, stripped of all motion, hectic, excitement and flashing neon lights? What is like when still? What is it like when we are still?
Come with me and envision it to be a quiet plaza for 24 hours Times Square Day of the Arts, a celebration of quiet in one of the fastest, one of the most hectic, least quiet places in the world. Let us be quiet so the place can speak. It is a vision which can become reality for New York City as well as for the beautiful but busy and noisy squares and corners in your city and your life.

about me
About my visionary art: well, painting started with geomancy, with places in cities that communicated their deeper meaning through visions. They asked to be made visible until I gave in.
Favorite ways of doing nothing: reading, cafè, sitting in the sun, sauna, hours in the bathtub, listening to music, conversation, watching people, weather, clouds, life, everything, doing nothing at all
Favorite ways of doing something: reading, dancing, writing, slow city walks, skating, painting, changing places, changing planes, traveling, slowing down
