about me
Born to student radicals in California at the end of the 1960's, Simeon learned to make granola and macramé belts and plant hangers by the age of four. These skills have served him well over the intervening 34 years, as he is never hungry, nor does he allow any of his plants or pants to touch the ground.

At the age of five, Simeon wrote the first in his celebrated series of memoirs entitled, Postpartum Oppression: My Life in Diapers. Chapters of this work include the details of his parents many sabbaticals from grad-school, when they would tour every commune from San Diego to the Canadian border, and their year long camping trip through Europe, that sparked Simeon's nascent love of wine.

In 1973, Simeon's family moved to Venice, Californa. Simeon began attending the local socialist collective pre-school, where he learn to make macaroni picket signs, and finger paint flyers (I wish that I was kidding). Although a gifted student, Simeon did not organize his first anti-authoritarian rally until nearly 3 years later, when his second grade class was denied their before-school viewing of "Electric Company". Simeon authored a petition, and had his fellow students sign it. The protest was actually successful, and early morning enjoyment of The Adventures of Letterman and Easy Reader was restored.
