about me
BA in Sociology from SFSU in 2002, performed in and/or produced hundreds of shows in DIY punk fashion over the years with many different folks in many different scenes. Activist, artist, and surviving as well as thriving compared to many others these days. I would like to contribute to the greater good in some way. I have sorked at centers for people with disabilities, the ARC and the Recreation Center for the Handicapped, SF, and have been a personal care attendant for many years from 1989-1999. Then I immersed myself in the world of city college and then non-profits. Then sex, drugs and rock and roll. Now I've been rejuventin' at home wth my sweet Michel.

I realized the depths of this profound sadness when I came back from NY. I moved back here mid-April. I have found seriously unfriendly people everywhere. I have been bullied by all sorts of people I don't even know, anywhere in public space.

I have two new rules which I cannot share with you. SOrry. But they will help me in the future. And if they work, I will then share with you.

Living with my mother again...no car....walking to Safeway...cops....no art--a man came up to me there right after I got off the BART. He was carrying a guitar case, an old man, and he asked with pleading, longing eyes, "Where's the art in Concord?" I said I don't know and then my cell phone rang.

Let's clarify how I am for you: I am existentialist, Buddhist, philospher, sociologist and I have tendencies towards going off on tangents. I like trying to not go off on tangents except for once in a while. We all have to be so multi-facted these days in order to survive. I'm amazed at how a lot of us artists and musicians have expanded ourselves to contribute to the world and to be able to keep things going. But I'm mad at rock and roll right now. I went... read more
