about me
I guess in this section you are supposed to write about the stuff you like....so here goes.
I love.....
spending time with my friends (well I guess if you didn't then they wouldn't be your friends, would they?)
finding that perfect outfit for an Opel party
fish (yup that is the dorky scientist side of me)
the sound of laughter
seeing friends succeed at things they love
laying on the couch on sunday afternoon watching cheezy movies
the softness of my cat Chowdah
a hug from my mom when I am sad
finding out that something you were skeptical about is really amazing
the smell of autumn after a rain storm
breakz
being able to be there for a great friend's debut
always knowing your REAL friends love you no matter how many miles separate you
the feeling of peace you get when in the arms of a lover
dancing for so long that you forget what time you started
sushi (especially when shared with Tanya)
the color pink and sparkles (thanks Kendra)
blue eyes
flying
my first Crystal Method show
having somone help you remember that you are sexy
and of course......breakfast the morning (or afternoon, or night) after an uber crazy party with Deckadence, Tigerlily, AbSinthe, ArGuile, and Dex!!!!

I strongly dislike.....
people who judge without knowing
yellow peeps (who am I kidding?, I hate ALL those nastly little balls of processed evil)

So there are my interests and in case you can't tell who I am by that, here is a bit more. I am a marine scientist that studies fish. After my father died I almost gave up on my dreams but decided that the only way to truely honor him was to live them out! The next part of those dreams will be carried out this summer when I move to Africa to teach science in the PeaceCorps. I like to think that he is proud of me and only wishes he could go with me.

I spent the past 4 years living in California and formed friendships that are only ever dreamed about. Too many miles now separate me from my girls but they always remain in my heart! The decision to move home before going to Africa was a very difficult one and I often find myself wondering if it was the right one. Truely, I know it was but leaving behind my "family" in San Francisco was super hard!

I LOVE to dance and only regret that I started too close to the time I moved away. San Francisco is the place to be for great music, and the short time I had there, I somehow managed to have the beatz infused into my soul! I owe that to two wonderful people..... thanks to the Grahams!!

Okay so I guess that was more than a "bit" more, but anyone who really knows me will actually be surprised by how short it was!

I think this sums it up nicely!

We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance

We can go when we want to
The night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise 'em with the victory cry
Say, we can act if want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile

I say, we can dance, we can dance
Everything out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody takin' the cha-a-a-ance

We can dance if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it
Everything'll work out right
I say, we can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

I really am this random!

Hey kiddies! Just wanted to let you all know that things in Zambia are wonderful. I am loving how simplistic life here is. I mean I wash dishes in a bucket, I wash clothes by hand in a bucket, and I even wash myself in a bucket. I cook on a fire, I read by candlelight (or headlamp when it has batteries), I walk or ride a bike everywhere. Sure it gets frustrating and there are a lot of things to get used to but in general I am really happy with life and doing well. Sure I get lonely at times and really miss you all but I think that comes with the territory of moving half way around the world from all those you love. I will try to update this as often as I can so you all can share my adventure. I am gonna try to go SCUBA diving in Mozambique for christmas if i can rustle up enough cash. I'll let you know how it goes!
Love you all! And miss you tons!!!!!

.... my last blog entry for quite a long time. I am very sad but also very excited. You all have touched my life in some pretty amazing ways! You have become part of my soul and will travel with me to Africa! I thank you for all the good times and even some of the not so good times for that is how we grow. I will not have many opportunities to update this blog as travel to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, is difficult and internet cafes cost an arm and a leg, but I will try to get on at least once or twice. And the mail I have heard is pretty reliable so you will get letters, and my address is in another blog entry. Okay well, take care of each other, love one another, hold me in your hearts, and always, always dance still the sun comes up! I love you all!

Lots of Love and a Little Bit of Trouble,

Heather (a.k.a. Pandora)

Okay so this tattoo, for those of you who know, stems from a totally hilarious story that happened to me and my Dad! And it was probably the most appropriate thing I could get as a "memorial" tattoo on this date (well actually tomorrow, but I have to work).

It is not the most quality work and will probably get spruced up when I have the money, however it makes me laugh hysterically and is totally fitting! Even my mom, who is anti-tattoos, thinks it's great!
