I think that I'm going to sublet my super sweet space(s) in Harmony Home for August and September. I have the huge attic space as my bedroom and office as well as a large sewing studio that I'm going to be leaving empty while I take off on vending and festival adventures for the 2 months. There's 3 amazing ladies as roommates, a yard and a garden and the rest of the house that are included in the deal too ;) I pay $850 all inclusive but the price could be negeotiated. Really, I just want someone to enjoy and use the space while I'm gone . . . It would be perfect for someone who is just moving to the city or needs to focus for a couple months. Entheos Vending

The best time to come is between 4 and 6pm . . . it slows down quite a bit and there's lots of room to browse about. The earlier part of the day is a bit hectic but lots of fun regardless. Look for the bamboo ;)

Harmony Home Update

Thing have shifted and settled a little here so I thought I'd give y'all an update. The big news is that Xandra is staying! Here's a revised post: Shift happens . . . Things are making a huge shift in our home, which most of you probably know as Harmony Home, the big yellow and pink house at 333 E 13th. Xandra and I are looking for 2 new roommates - one for May 1st and one for June 1st. The other 2 lovely ladies we currently live with are moving on. Lyndz is moving in with her love (yay love!) and Theda, after being in this home for 4 years, is moving into a new place that will allow her to focus more on her music. We feel very blessed to call this place my home and are looking for others that will feel the same way. I run my sustainable clothing company, Maha Devi design, out of the house and currently rent one room on the 2nd floor as my design studio and have one of the rooms in the basement (more garden level) as my bedroom. I am moving up to the attic room to have more office space. Xandra has her bedroom and her office on the 2nd floor. She's a fantastic film maker and also works out of the home (mostly). The house is over 100 years old and has a yard all the way around the house, including a garden. There are 4 levels - the top attic room, which has a sink and is like 2 rooms; the 2nd floor, which has 2 rooms and a little office, a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and a toilet closet; the main floor that has 2 big living rooms (we have been keeping them mostly clear for dancing/yoga/music), huge kitchen and full bathroom, and the lowest level, which has 2 bedrooms, laundry and storage. Every room in the house gets lots of light. We looking for roommates who are interested in making this house their home, first and foremost. The house is old and needs love and it's part of the lease that we take great care of the yard and garden. May 1st the larger of the 2 basement rooms is opening up. The rent for it is $550 inclusive (bills, wireless internet, phone, long distance, and house neccessities). It's the room I live in now and I love it. It get tons of light and looks into the garden. The smaller basement room is available June 1st. It's painted a really yummy deep plum color and gets lots of light too. It's nice and cozy and has lots of closet space. The rent for it is $475 inclusive. Shift happens . . .

Things are making a huge shift in my home, which most of you probably know as Harmony Home, the big yellow and pink house at 333 E 13th. All 3 of my current roommates are moving into different spaces leaving me with the house and the space to create a home with new family. Everyone is moving out on great terms; Xandra is taking a sweet beach side sublet/catsit for year, Lyndz is moving in with her love (yay love!) and Theda, after being in this home for 4 years, is moving into a new place that will allow her to focus more on her music. I feel very blessed to call this place my home. After 2 and half years of living in this space I am loving it more than ever and am really excited about the next level of my "home". My bike got stolen from the tree outside my house a couple weeks ago and despite my relentless searching for a new bike I can't find a decent used one anywhere. I've looked in every shop possible in Vancouver so am putting it out there in case one of you lovelies has an old one or an extra sitting around that could use a good home. home for the holidaze

Less than a week ago I decided that home to Ontario was where I needed to spend Christmas this year. So, I got a ticket and I'm flying home. It should be an interesting journey. I get into Toronto at 11pm on Christmas eve and then I'm catching the bus (yup, the dirty dog) to Sudbury to meet up with the family at my aunts house for our traditional dinner that they do every year. I'm stoked. It's been 3 years since I've seen everyone and a year and half since I've seen my dad, my sister and 2 little nieces. My sister is ecstatic. My dad sounds pretty excited too. I must admit, I was looking forward to a Harmony Home Christmas and Intention, which I'm sure is going to be amazing, but I know I'm doing the right thing. I'm gonna be spending the first few days of the new year in TO connecting with all my friends and then I'll be back on the 4th, just in time to get my assignments done for school the next week. So, if I miss you before I go, happy happy happy tree-worshiping holiday. (the pic is of my sister and her girls - aren't they cute?)

I spent the autumn equinox this year at a school for Indigo children just outside of Edmonton. They hosted the community gathering co-created by Arcatribe, the Seed of Life crew, GOMP, the Techno Hippy kids, and a whole bunch of amazing people. All I can say is that this party was so great it left me speachless. I am so grateful there are so many beautiful, dialed, talented people in this world. And I assure you that Edmonton has a whole bunch of them.
