I got to take a trip up to Alaska for 10 days in August, to visit with my family. Fairbanks is the town, and just before we got there, it had been raining for straight 3 weeks! Flooding & damage resulted for 300+ homes in the area! :-( Thankfully, my parents' & siblings' places were safe. Yesterday I was in the 4th of July parade....my first experience hoopin' in public and it was a blast!
I wore red, white, and blue and put "Hooping for peace" on my back. My sweetie (who transported the music) wore a similar peace shirt too.
