How interesting

People already say that my kids look a lot alike. IF you look at pictures of them at the same ages then yes, they are practically identical. (mental note, label pictures with names and dates because when i am old I will forget which kid is which) Anyway, Sean has apparently been coppying his big brother. Ian sucks his right thumb and puts his left hand in his hair. Sean has started mirroring him by putting his left hand in his mouth and right hand in his hair. It is really cute.

Ok I don't know if I spelled it right but I deffinitely agree with the sentiments of Dora the Explorer's backpack. I just had hot chocolate made with pumpkin spice creamer......YUM

Ahhhh that feels better

It is absolutely amazing how much better I feel when my floor is freshly vacuumed. I don't know why but a clean house just seems to relieve some of my stress. I am 1/4 of the way through my 1st Coat, 1/4 of the way packed for the women in business expo and 1/4 done gathering things to consign at the Totswap in 2 weeks. I have a little of everything going.


It must be getting ready to consign things but I am in a purging mode around my house. Hubby better watch out because he is a pack rat. I just want to de-clutter!

Oh and on a totally unrelated note, the remainder of my firefly order came in today. Now I am just waiting on my Sharifwear exchange and Dahlal order.

No longer a tribal Virgin

I had my first tribal performance last night and I think it went well enough that I didn't suck! Yay. Unfortunately my video camera randomly broke down RIGHT BEFORE OUR PERFORMANCE! I really wish we could have seen it.

Now that is out of the way, in no particular order, I have to:

make 2 coats
Another blasted red confetti dot dress ;)
Prep for a Women in Business Expo
Prep for vending at Totswap
Prep my consignment baby/maternity stuff for totswap
adjust hooks on my new cabaret costume
choreograph 3 dances
start on spears and costume for 1 of said dances

So not much! Woohoo. My christmas shopping is almost all done. Ian is getting one of those motorized hot wheels things this year from my grandparents. I have no clue as to where we are going to put it. Nothing is wrapped of course. I think I am going to see if I can sucker the hubby into wrapping because I really hate to do it and he does such a good job.

Been too busy to Blog

So I have been too busy to blog much recently but I have been checking Tribe regularly and I realized that I am on a ton of tribes but only check a few daily.

There are a few I check with less frequency but the rest I really just don't look at much. It made me want to know which tribes do you check the most often?

Better

I am feeling much better today. My fever broke last night and I took some meds for migraine and that killed the headache. I am a little stuffy but that is all. Ian and Sean are stuffy too. Otherwise it is all good. Now....laundry, decorating, dishes, kitchen floor, working on my coat.......the list goes on.

I'm sick

Ok so apparently I am sick. I had a 101.5 fever today, splitting headache and took a several hour nap. Also this weekend we found out our fridge was leaking. We are not sure how long but the entire subfloor of the kitchen was soaked and dripping into the basement where there was a nasty puddle. Now my tiles are all ripped up while the floor is drying so the floor is sticky. While we were waiting for the floor to dry we started decorating for halloween and that is when I started feeling like crap. So my house is a wreck and I feel too crappy to fix it. This is going to bug the hell out of me.

Boobs

It should be required that every girl be taught how bra sizes work. Most women are wearing the wrong bra size. There are 2 reasons for this:

1) they don't understand how bras work

2) they are in denial of their actual size/measurements

My real pieve about this is because costumes are often sold as D/DD or 40D. You can't have D/DD. You can have DD that a D could fit in with padding. DD doesn't fit in D any more than C fits into a B. As for the 40D problem they say it is a 40 D because the cup looks big to them and the band will go up to 40 inches.

Bras work like this:

measure the fullest part of the breast. Measure the under bust. Then you add something like 3 inches to the underbust (for some unknown reason!) and then take the difference between the fullest measurement and this new arbitrary number. The difference of 1" is A, 2" is B, 3" is C, 4" is D, 5" is DD/F, and so on. Sooooooo take this 40 D bra. Really it is more likely a 36D (so you have overlap enough for hooks), therefore a 38C or a 40B. If I am a 40D (which I am not right now while nursing) there is no way in HELL I am going to fit into what is really a 40B when it was advertised as a 40D on ebay.

Now if every female was taught how bras are sized as young girls, and if bra companies wouldn't just randomly add that 3 inches then this whole confusion over what the real size of a costume was wouldn't exist unless you involved a man in the process. And either way adding a man in the process ALWAYS confuses things because they A) almost always screw things up and B) see even the word boobs and stop in their tracks. Which, if any men are reading this blog they probably never got past the subject line. Of course once they did they probably got really upset because there were no pictures.

My Coat update

OK so I have started cutting out the test fabric for my coat. It is just some cheap cotton paisly and flannel for the lining. I want to make sure it fits right before I start on my real fabric. Once I start putting this together to make sure I don't have to adjust the pattern then I can go to the store and get the rest of my supplies:
