I met Steve last year out in the middle of the desert outside of 29 Palms.
We were both staying a friend's place, getting ready to do some entertaining at the Jerry Garcia Family Reunion.
Steve put on an fantastic light show. I have to say I was impressed and really happy that the platform he was working on stayed intact.
He and I are both single dads, maybe that's changed for him by this time, and we talked a little about that aspect of our lives.
We managed not to get stung by fast moving scorpians and both of us were tired by the end of the event. He took off early, well it seemed early to me, heading back to the cool sanctuary of the redwoods and I headed further into the deserts of the South West, searching for adventure.
I ran across his profile here quite by accident!

Steve is one of the coolest people I have ever known. And I've known a lot of people. This guy takes life as the adventure that it is never losing sight of the joy that imbues all the rest of it with meaning. His beautiful creations of light illustrate his dedication to art, community and alternative right livelihood. He never ceases to amaze me with how he keeps successfully dancing down the road less traveled, surrounded by the people who love him.
Of which I am lucky to count myself as one.
