siouxsie redux

sorry to barrage about the same issue twice in one week, but some changes have been made recently. the hike is on, but florida is going to have to wait a little longer. i was originally going to give her away, but now i'm looking for a temporary home for her until we get back. siouxsie will need a home for approx. 3 months - will be making our way back late june, early july depending on how quickly we finish. she comes with a litter box, scratching post, cat food, litter, cat grass AND a catnip plant that she's a junkie for. i also have a credit card specifically for her in the event she has to go to the vet. it has enough on it for check-ups, or a deposit on any major work she hopefully won't need. she makes an awesome companion, is very vocal when she's hungry (so there's no confusion about what she's whining about), and is a total lap kitty. she also sleeps a lot. she also is a huge fan of smoochies on her head. must be the breed - my dad's cat is the same and also digs on the smoochie lovin'. i'm leaving in a week and i don't really want to drop her off at the shelter - at her age, they'll just euthanize her (she's almost 19). if you can help, please email me at scarpetta80@yahoo.com. p.s. just to set the record straight, she is not a big fan of vacuum attachments.

i had arranged a home for my cat while i'm hiking, but that fell through. i also got news that might necessitate a bit of travel in the coming months and i won't be available to care for my cat. i really, really love her a ton, but it might be best for her to find a new home. is there anyone out there who could use a very chatty, lovable lap kitty?

today marks the last week at my job. for those who have followed my rabid complaints over the last three years, let us jump up and down together with glee! yay! i think with all the planning madness over the last few months, i failed to mention that i'm leaving the bay area permanently. i keep running into people who are surprised at this, so i'm assuming i got a little myopic in my communication there. i'm hitting the road april 1st! if you want to sink one last drink with me, there's a little shindig happening in GG park on 3/16 thanks to strawberry and darin. the date is set, the talent is lined up and i would love to see as many people as i can before i split. i'll post a solid bsp soon :)

the rain makes me want to listen to the cure a lot. so i dl'd them. and amy whinehouse and psychedelic furs and joan osborne and tom petty and tori amos and deadmau5 and jamiroquai and prodigy and... that list being the product of all the music i've loved over the years that i have on cd and reminded myself that i won't need the cd if i remember to search for them on isohunt :) i need a bigger ipod. and oh yeah, i'm actually going to ruby skye for my first time to hear bt friday. it's not even that i want to hear bt, but that it's one of the few venues that i've never been to. good sound system? yeah, i'll be comparing it to EB's unparalleled sound tweaking. it's also free trance so i won't feel that inevitable regret from paying an exorbitant cover after pushing dipsomaniac dilettantes out of my way all night. i might even do a light show...who knows. hope to see some of you there *wink*
