Visiting Seattle this weekend I discovered these flags hanging behind the alter at St. Marks Episcopal Cathedral. The flags represent the sanctity of the major religions as recognized by this community. They forgot the pagans but it is a good start.

Strangely enough the reason I was in this church relates back to burning man. My dear friend Elizabeth was married at St. Marks to my new friend George this summer. Their story is pretty unusual:

I went to the 11am service and really liked their choir. I still couldn't totally get past the Father, Lord, he, Son, ect language but they had a gay priest and lots of women running the show.
