ok. so, lets take the pessimistic view of my life, in general. i have no job, no car, no license, no income, no money, and i live in a trailer i cant pay rent on.

so yeah. i have been extremely busy of late, what with running a newly (re)opened coffee shop, completely different from the last one i worked at (and ran when the owners didnt care enough to be there), with 12-14 hour days, and not much sleep inbetween. and then you couple that with me giving up drinking (temporarily) for 30 days (22 left to go), and gosh darn it, i miss beer. sure, i still feel quite good, and i have been eating better (curse of vegetarian employers), but i prefer my calori... read more

ok, so today i landed my first big chance and money for nothing. i was playing in a sattelite tournament, and poker stars (.com or .net to play for fake money), where the top 27 places paid an entry into a weekly tournament for a total prize pool of $1000. i beat more than 3500 other players to place 27th. just high enough for a seat, and then i bet the rest of my chips on a really really crappy hand, because even first place would only earn a seat at the same tournament. poker tournaments, a... read more
