ok i love random gifting... I went rock climbing yesterday and I was putting some change in the meter as I like to do when I use a meter I let any random change that falls out of my hand just lay where it lies a very small gifting to be sure...but it's fun to just not be so attached to things and let them roll away into another persons world on this particular day I had grabbed a pretty big handful of change from my car and I was having fun with it...letting the change just fall all over the place as I ferreted out the quarters for the meter "hey" says an amicable voice behind me " your change is falling all over man" i turn to face the voice and find a very big smile in the form of the fellow who attends the parking lot next to the gym "I know" I say "It's something that I do on purpose...like a small way to give back" "oh" he says looking a bit puzzled "it's like at a church you know how they have tithing ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tithing ) ?" he nods "well this is like that...except since I don't have a particular church I belong to I try to just tithe to ...you know..." I sort of vaguely wave my arms in the air "the BIGGER church...if you see what I mean..." he nods again smiling even larger "oh OK ..that's COOL" "Thank you!" I respond "this is just a little version of it... I try to mix it up and do different things" "That's cool bro...right on" he says and walks back to his little house I go back to the car and get my climbing gear. I see a dollar bill on the floor of my car mat. A lost orphan, washed up on the shores of my fiscal river. I grab it and turn to the face of the rock gym. It has some stonework on the front face that was perfect for my cause. I took the bill and did some quick origami work, trying to make it so it looked like the bill was stuck to the rock, an enticing eye catcher, waiting to be plucked off by the happy hands of some passer-by. My friend ventured forth again to ask " oh is that another one you are doing?" "Yep, you motivated me with your acknowledgment bro" I said " though this one is not going so well..." Then I had an ah-ha moment, moved to the corner of the building and found a few small rocks and used them to hold the bill against the lip of the rock...One two three...Wah-la!~ "that's cool man...I do things like that too" he said "not exactly like that but you know giving and things like that" "it's a big world bro...helps if we keep things moving and flowing around and share when we are able" (just my opinion but it seems to work) "Yeah and then it comes back to you bigtime" he ventured knowingly. "true, though I find that the less you think about that part, the more smoothly it comes around" I added "word to that" he said smiling again "that's cool..." We traded names and then my friends arrived, parked in his lot and we went in to rock climb. A small tithe...but a fun one...

he swims in a pool of his own design not the opal shaped bean style nor the sharp lines of someone else's rectangle it isn't an oreo shape most above-grounds emulate this pool is twisty with languid lines that dash beneath fronds who dare to dip a toe into these wildly swirling waters he does laps he dives down deep he grasps from the bottom things he might keep if they make it back up to the surface side sometimes they wriggle too much d r o p down and re-hide beneath his kicking feet but when he gets one up it sure tastes sweet he is naked at best water strokes his skin he can still feel the shock from when he dove in held lightly by a swirling mass he exhales bubbles they all catch sparkles from the sunbeams relentless parade in the sky arms stroke the surface feet dance wild waves are created from major to mild from under the water the world looks quite blurred he feels like a martini shaken~ not stirred....

Having just outed myself as Captain Erotica to all the old friends I have found on Facebook...I am feeling a sense of irony how much more fun if I had been able to do so when tribe was flush with live and vibrancy I feel like I am introducing an old lover to a group of friends at my reunion... these days tribe is a shadow of it's former self...but none-the-less tribe is an INCREDIBLE place the ONLY social network that has such lax rules on personal self expression.... only on tribe could captain erotica exists and flourish over the past 6 years... Captain Erotica is an Erotic Super Hero.. He is the full culmination of my degree in theatre arts at ucsc. Little did most of my fellow theatre arts majors know that I was a fledgling dominant studying the erotic arts of power exchange in parallel to my studies of acting and Directing. (directing in particular is a fantastic thing to study to learn how to be a good dominant...both a director and dom must be good at reading people and helping them find their maximum potential at whatever task they are set to perform) Captain Erotica has taught/coached/played with/performed for and created events for literally thousands of people over the past 10 years. now I am a surfer~ conquring your fears

I am here to inspire you... here to tell you that you CAN overcome your fears... even the deepest most darkly rooted fears even the ones that you cannot understand the ones that make no sense... I've always been afraid of sharks since I saw the movie Jaws It's one of only two really big, give you the heebie jeebies fear that I have... The other one being in the middle of the ocean, in the water, next to a giant ship that is sinking, just about to pull you down with it... So.. suffice to say that I have not been much of an ocean guy this lifetime.. In spite of living in santa cruz for the better part of 14 years and in living in san francisco for 4 years.. I have only been in the water to try my hand at surfing three times. Once I rode a large longboard while lying down...but I have never stood up and ridden a wave. Two other times I have been taken out in the water. Both times I had two major problems. 1st and foremost was my inability to read the waves themsevles.. to time things so I caught the wave Second and the deep rooted cause of the first, is my fear of sharks...constantly on my mind...always wondering if those sharp teeth would pull me into the water. Granted I am a double fire sign with an airsign moon so ....water does have it's challenges for me... Anyway - yesterday and today.. I finally Actually Surfed For hours.. And I caught many waves... And I rode many of them a long way... It was even a little chilly for hawaii...and a little cloudy... but I caught the waves and in the blue clear shallow waters of waikiki I did not think of sharks I had told myself beforehand that this was the time to overcome that fear... to face it and just go out in the water it was very cathartic on many levels... I was not only not afraid of sharks or of the waves - true it's because the waves here are tiny and cute for the most part I was able to be strong and use my rock-climbing muscles and endurance to paddle for 3 hours and then get up this morning and do it again...and we're going out again in a few hours.. I was able to focus on the timing... and (again thanks to the perfect, slow wave here at waikiki) F O C U S A S E U E on the B T V I A F W U L YUM Delicious I am super hooked I want to travel the globe - find amazing rocks and climb them... then go to beaches and surf These are things that keep one in shape That focus the mind That bring one in touch with nature As I aproach the apex of my life.. the tipping point of the end of my 40th trip around the sun..EarthSurfer that I be... I give great thanks for these two activities - rock climbing and surfing.. for though I am merely an acolyte at both of them I am so happy with how much they put me in touch with myself They are like sex with nature.. Making love with yourself... Being Deeply in the Body Is a great gift I am thankful I hope that you are also embracing your fears and making love with yourself in ways that nourish your soul ~Namaste~

Hawaii Here I Come!

Ok finally at long last I am going to go to hawaii I am going with kenbrah my best and oldest friend (as in he and I have known each other 20 years not as in he is the oldest friend I have) we land in oahu this friday night... spend 4 days chillin and surfing in honolulu then we head over to maui where we are trekking around, camping, and staying in a superfat resport for at least one night in contrast to my normally well planned adventures.. I was on my mtn bike...cruising next to a creek on a windy up-n-down dirt trail in Almaden ca. I was thinking of something important...Trippy and sad...Processing things... There was some pretty intense song going through my earphones, emphasizing both the drive of my feet against the metal of the pedals as well as the drive of my mind as it ground through these intense thoughts. The thoughts clicked to a conclusion that everything was going to work out just fine... Just then...my totem animal, the red tailed hawk, dipped down from the sky and flew directly at me along the trail, cruising through the air at about two feet over my head. It was neat move because there was a small tube of foliage and vines above this section of trail and the hawk had to fly lower than the greenery and above my head. It flew right at me. Looked right at me... Confirming the emphasis of that thought...it's all going to work out fine... So I kept pedaling...

ok tonight should be great fun we are having our pet alaska over to hang with us she is going to cook us some pesto pasta after doing some housework with athena after dinner we are going to chill and do a little making out while our tummies settle next we will give her a four hands of love massage on the massage table here once that is done, we will peel her off the table and take her down the block to the spa on our street where we will take a nice hot tub and sauna to end the day if we can manage to walk back home in our relaxed state we will climb into the kingsized bed for some delicious fondling and dreamy cuddling today was a really fun day...we went down to the burning man HQ and volunteered to take down their xmas lights left over from the holidays after that I went and made a surprise deposit in my good friends bank account cuz I know he is in need... SURPRISE =) then there was rock climbing...but the gym only gave us an hours worth of climbing because they were doing construction during gym hours...ABSURD..there was drywall dust flying around everywhere so we left after an hour...but not before I got halfway up an overhung 12a climb..that was SWEET...earlier this week I climbed my first 12.b climb..I had a climbgasm afterwards, shaking on the floor of the gym in a happy , exhausted, sweaty puddle... life has it's tribulations, true, but sometimes the good is sooooo good YUM hope you have lots of yum no matter what other tribulations might weigh on your mind...

One Breath One Breath is my Idea for uniting the human race. One Breath is the most simple, streamlined, easy method of simultaneously synchronizing the energy of the human race. One Breath is easy to take for each person individually. We all do it all day long One Breath is easy to take simultaneously for the human group. The Economist forecasts that there will be 4billion cell phone worldwide by the end of 2009. (betcha didn't think Captain Erotica read The Economist thhthththtptptptptptlllltttt) Thus it will be easy to communicate the simple idea and easy to synchronize. One Breath is simple to actually do. It only asks one moment of everyone's time when actually happening. One Breath is easy to coordinate and plan for. It only takes awareness of being prepared for synchronizing with the other participants for one moment. It can be broadcast via all the many New Years Eve events happening all over the US. and calibrated for other places around the Earth so that the appropriate time/date vector is distributed to that area of the world based on their time zone and calendar. One Breath has a core goal other than giving humanity a method to unite for one moment. I've written about this before, back when 100 people per day read my blog. Even at that time it did not get much response. The idea is rather large, it's simplicity notwithstanding. Furthermore, at that time my post contained no invective. This time it will. So for a long long time I have contemplated getting some body art... For years and years it was something I held as a passing fancy...something that I both wanted and was wary of... This past year it came to pass that I was starting to focus more on actually manifesting this experience The first part for me was to find someone who I loved as an artist, someone who's work I would be proud to wear out in the world every (short sleeved) day for the rest of my life.... I found that person in the form of a small but powerful DPW volunteer from burning man '06 named See See. We had pounded T-stakes together on several projects and shared some affinity enough to keep in remote touch over the ensuing two years. This took the form of an occasional text message or phone call from one or the other of us. At one point I made a purchase of an original ink drawing from her. It is one of the prizes of my original art collection, almost, but not quite as cool as the Lion shirt that Redhot painted for me. http://people.tribe.net/captainerotica/photos/b73efb08-b500-47c1-983c-4cecf2a50159 Once I decided to move forward with the body art project I contacted See See and began what was a several months long, dynamic creation process of designing the art for my body. I knew that I wanted it on my shoulder, able to be hidden in conservative circumstances. Plus my shoulder is among the best palate spots on my body AND I had some very old scar tissue that would be fun to cover over with art. I knew that I wanted to incorporate the Captain Erotica symbol which can be seen in a much more simple iteration here on the shield in this picture: http://people.tribe.net/captainerotica/photos/0fc5db51-5a22-4c00-8fd9-e6b773add28b What transpired was that my amazing artist took my idea and really transformed it into a more elaborate and beautiful work of art than I could have originally imagined... It was fun for me to do a certain amount of letting go in the process. I opened myself to the input of the artist and in the end my art was infused with a greater degree of both natural and feminine energy to balance out the masculine energy of my shoulder. I could not be more happy with this body art and the process that I went through to co-create it. Even the experience of the application of the art itself was just epic and perfect. I was blessed to have the art applied by the artist herself in my own kitchen. It was a long process, with about an hour of discussion beforehand while we honed down the final little edits and discussed things like exact size and exact location. See See was terrifically professional as well as a total sweetheart so that was awesome to experience. Having been warned repeatedly over many years time about how painful body artwork was I was totally shocked at how it did not hurt me at all. It was bizzare. She kept commenting on how calm and unjittery I was for my "first time" (though I am pretty sure this will be my only time as I am not too fond of lots of ink on the body in terms of my self-image- i prefer it as an accent art in one location) In fact it was not painful at any point for me. I was expecting to have to exert some form of effort to overcome the pain or process it on the fly. I have done many many occasions of helping people process physical pain so I know a bevy of techniques to employ in such circumstances, ranging from breathwork to focus to chakra based meditations. I did not have to deploy any of these during my art experience. She told me to expect that it would oooze some blood or pus afterwards but it has not done anything of the sort so far. There is a remote dull ache today that is sort of pleasant as an echo of the experience. I can feel my body art chillin down there underneath my fleece shirt... It's like a new warm friend on my arm. Personified it might sound like a little Asian dryad whispering kind reminders to me of staying in a loving place to help balance the swirl of the yin-yang dualistic reality. The yin-yang and the heart have both been overimaged in our cultures and thus somewhat diluted in their power or intensity. Thus, the simplistic version of the yin-yang with heart shown in my cartoon version, would not have made a very unique or beautiful body artwork. My first version of this actually included a small white dot in the center of the black dot in the white field and ibid on the black side as well. This was to remind viewer of the symbol that there is pleasure within the pain within the pleasure and vice versa. It's a wormhole you can surf down many zuvuya levels. The work of see see on my arm is more representative of the truth of the complexity of multi-dualistic reality than the simple yin-yang. It shows how there are threads of light and darkness woven together everywhere. It is a visual reminder of the light and dark sides of love. The light and dark sides of both pleasure and pain. It not only became a more beautiful visual work of art though the process, but a more accurate representation of what I believe in life. I am proud and thankful to have this energy upon my body. I offer deep gratitude to the artist and salute her skills. hope everyone is having fun making art of their life out there {bloggers note- after teasing mercilessly month after month...could this blog portend a return to more regular blogs from el captain?...we shall see...)
