I stand awash in darkness; knee deep in the muck of my subconscious. This detritus of life would make such fertile ground for dreams and imagination. I can see in my minds eye the fantasies it could feed. But here in the very deep, very dark depths of my soul it avails me not at all. What is this… stuff? The mud at the bottom of the ocean?
