about me
I am a warrior poet. Which is one of those useless self-proclaimed titles that says a lot to some people and to others means I am geek and to others that I am a true renaissance man. To that I say don’t waste your time trying to pigeonhole me. Nothing your going to figure out in a short time frame will make any sense in the context of who I am or will be to you and yours. I might teach you some wonderful lesson or maybe I will be your student. No guarantees. If we meet tomorrow then A, but on Sunday B. Life is like that. Sometimes my words are poetic. Sometimes I don't talk to people because I am shy. Sometimes I carry a sword, so tread lightly as I don't like to cast my pearls before swine. I project a "Bullshit free" zone in a 30 foot radius around me. I say what I mean and mean what I say and I expect others to do the same in return. I have tremendous love, loyalty and affection for my friends and am cold as ice to my enemy's.
I like to do things, be creative, build, adventure. Sometimes I am lazy and restful and content and don’t like change. I am a practicing skeptic. This means I don’t believe things without proof. The bigger the thing, the more proof I want. It is a real pain in some people’s ass that I just don’t take their word for things, and that I don't believe that feeling something is true is good enough, but don’t take it personally. I am not a strident atheist or a logically valid agnostic. I am an Apathiest which means – Those questions – is there a god, is there an afterlife, did the tree make a sound, what is the answer to life the universe and everything – those questions I find them to be profoundly unimportant. The questions themselves are historical curiosities from minds of people who didn’t know the sun was made of hydrogen. Why should we waste our time caring how many angels fit in the head of a needle? Why should we kill each over such questions? This is where belief without proof leads. The destruction of faith without proof is the beginning of evolution. I focus on the here, the now, the provable and the magic that we people can make with each other and the space we inhabit. This keeps me quite busy enough! Join the "Say NO to the burn" coalition! A growing group of people who are skipping the burn this year to put their focus on real life. Let's face it, It’s a shit economy; and you or at least half of your friends are unemployed. Chances are in the next 200 days your employer could cut back personnel or fold completely and you won't even see it coming. If you're like other burners as the burn approaches your focus on your real life suffers dramatically. Everyone can agree that the world is les...

What i need is - a cohesive list of all the big burner style events that allow vending. We are also interested in anything thats raver oriented since we sell black light stuff. The events need to be big enough to warrant the cost of going - Elysium size or bigger I am guessing. Lighting in a bottle Elysium

Captain Storm has a gravity field all his own. Just sitting back and watching things and people flying towards him is almost humorous. Be careful crossing his path, or you might just get sucked in as well... but in a good way, of course...

Ok, what girl can't adore a man who writes on his tribe profile that his occupation is "warrior poet"? And boy, does that statement sum up Storm pretty damn well. He ACTUALLY OWNS a suit of armor. He ACTUALLY OWNS A SUIT OF ARMOR! And FIGHTS IN IT!
And then you talk to him a little and it turns out he is also brilliant. This isn't your typical meathead warrior type. Storm's got a nugget of very useful and usually unknown to me information on pretty much every topic. And then he blows your mind by being humble, endearing, considerate, and overwhelmingly caring. Is there anything this guy can't do? I mean, WHERE DO YOU COME FROM, MAN??????? May 24, 2007
Even after reading your quotes, I still do not know quite what to say...
your awesome. huggable. funny as fuck. some times a "meany" to me cause you play the voice of reason. my big brother. You have been a constant and amazing individual in my life. You and the Black Company have helped me come a long way and still do, and always will. Thanks Big Brother! hugs, my love, and all that mushy nonsense Little Sister. May 9, 2007
i can't get over the fact that you have a Jack Burton quote on your profile.
that's about as cool, and as bad-ass as it gets. seriously, Jack Burton makes the Fonz look like Mr. Magoo. "No horseshit, Wang." "No horseshit, Jack." ima hafta go watch that tonight. oh, Mark Twain is cool, too. January 29, 2007
Storm is a modern day superhero, standing for truth, justice, and finding one’s own way. He is more honest – both with himself and with others - than anyone else I know. He’s quick to call bullshit and not let those around him stand on the excuses they feed everyone else. He is always fair. He will defend his position to the death, unless of course someone presents him with a better argument. In this way, he is noble both in victory and in defeat. He sails a steady course by his own north star when almost everyone else flips back and forth with the tides, a trait which serves him well as a pirate. But think of him as a hero as well, as he embodies his ideals through actions, not just words - and isn’t this what we all aspire to? I’m glad I can call him a friend.
