about me
I am a warrior poet. Which is one of those useless self-proclaimed titles that says a lot to some people and to others means I am geek and to others that I am a true renaissance man. To that I say don’t waste your time trying to pigeonhole me. Nothing your going to figure out in a short time frame will make any sense in the context of who I am or will be to you and yours. I might teach you some wonderful lesson or maybe I will be your student. No guarantees. If we meet tomorrow then A, but on Sunday B. Life is like that. Sometimes my words are poetic. Sometimes I don't talk to people because I am shy. Sometimes I carry a sword, so tread lightly as I don't like to cast my pearls before swine. I project a "Bullshit free" zone in a 30 foot radius around me. I say what I mean and mean what I say and I expect others to do the same in return. I have tremendous love, loyalty and affection for my friends and am cold as ice to my enemy's.
I like to do things, be creative, build, adventure. Sometimes I am lazy and restful and content and don’t like change. I am a practicing skeptic. This means I don’t believe things without proof. The bigger the thing, the more proof I want. It is a real pain in some people’s ass that I just don’t take their word for things, and that I don't believe that feeling something is true is good enough, but don’t take it personally. I am not a strident atheist or a logically valid agnostic. I am an Apathiest which means – Those questions – is there a god, is there an afterlife, did the tree make a sound, what is the answer to life the universe and everything – those questions I find them to be profoundly unimportant. The questions themselves are historical curiosities from minds of people who didn’t know the sun was made of hydrogen. Why should we waste our time caring how many angels fit in the head of a needle? Why should we kill each over such questions? This is where belief without proof leads. The destruction of faith without proof is the beginning of evolution. I focus on the here, the now, the provable and the magic that we people can make with each other and the space we inhabit. This keeps me quite busy enough! So I decided that my diabetic cat needs a new home. It took me a while to decide this, but paying 20 bucks a visit for a pet sitter starts to add up pretty damn fast. See, my cat needs to get an insulin shot 2 times a day, 12 hours apart. For a guy who is an IT consultant and has a social life, and often travels out of town 2 weekends a month, its a real pain in the ass to be at my house at 9am and 9pm every single day. What she needs is someone who is more of a home body than I will can be. ...

So today I was listening to Dr. Laura on the radio and a Lesbian girl called in and asked a great question. " In a relationship, Whats the difference between a bump in the road and a real problem?" Dr laura said basically that a bump in the road is something a bad day or a random out of character moment, some kind of unique circumstance that is not the general flavor of the relationship - something that isn't a pattern. When you keep having the same kind of problem or facing the same kind of...

So I got a new computer with windows Vista and upgraded from adobe photoshop CS to CS3 so i decided to stay away from my huge pic I am working on and do something smaller to get up to speed. I am liking windows Vista, surprisingly it works really nicely and it has been really easy to get up to speed on. (at least for me) Photoshop CS3 totally kicks ass!

So I was editing my latest in a series of bodypaint/digital artwork (an HR giger inspired peice) and my computer hit it's ceiling. My photoshop layer had somewhere around 450 layers and it was taking 3-5 seconds after clicking things before they would respond. Well believe it or not it had been over 4 years since i got a new computer. Strangely enough I think this is the first new computer I have ever bought after 15 years of doing IT work and being a graphics and web person, that might seem ...

I signed up for a money market account the other day. In the mail I received a book, outlining the agreement i was making. A fucking book! Now i suspect if I am like most people I am never going to read this waste of paper. It is written in legalese. If i took half a day i could figure out what it all meant, and maybe I in the small percentage of the people that could figure it out being a logic nut, but honestly who has the desire or time to do so? How about getting your finger nails pulled ...

Captain Storm has a gravity field all his own. Just sitting back and watching things and people flying towards him is almost humorous. Be careful crossing his path, or you might just get sucked in as well... but in a good way, of course...

Ok, what girl can't adore a man who writes on his tribe profile that his occupation is "warrior poet"? And boy, does that statement sum up Storm pretty damn well. He ACTUALLY OWNS a suit of armor. He ACTUALLY OWNS A SUIT OF ARMOR! And FIGHTS IN IT!
And then you talk to him a little and it turns out he is also brilliant. This isn't your typical meathead warrior type. Storm's got a nugget of very useful and usually unknown to me information on pretty much every topic. And then he blows your mind by being humble, endearing, considerate, and overwhelmingly caring. Is there anything this guy can't do? I mean, WHERE DO YOU COME FROM, MAN??????? May 24, 2007
Even after reading your quotes, I still do not know quite what to say...
your awesome. huggable. funny as fuck. some times a "meany" to me cause you play the voice of reason. my big brother. You have been a constant and amazing individual in my life. You and the Black Company have helped me come a long way and still do, and always will. Thanks Big Brother! hugs, my love, and all that mushy nonsense Little Sister. May 9, 2007
i can't get over the fact that you have a Jack Burton quote on your profile.
that's about as cool, and as bad-ass as it gets. seriously, Jack Burton makes the Fonz look like Mr. Magoo. "No horseshit, Wang." "No horseshit, Jack." ima hafta go watch that tonight. oh, Mark Twain is cool, too.
