I've been studying Rosen Method Bodywork for two years now and in June finished my coursework. I received an excellent evaluation and was granted internship! Which means for the next 12-18 months I'll be working to complete an additional 350 required client hours plus 30 client hours with a supervisor, on my way to becoming a Rosen Method practitioner. To that end I'm looking for clients who would be interested.

I am currently working in Emeryville. Each session is about an hour long. There may or may not be a little chat time before and/or after with table time being about 50 - 60 minutes. The introductory session is $40 and each session after that is $55. Rosen bodywork is not like massage. It goes much deeper. In massage the practitioner manipulates the muscles and other body tissues sometimes painfully digging into the tension and knots and forcing the client into relaxation. One sometimes leaves with a feeling not too unlike an intense gym workout. In Rosen, the practitioner (intern in my case) gently, with focused presence and intention, locates tension and tightness in the clients body. Once these areas are recognized and acknowledged by the client they can more easily begin to let go of the emotional holding—the very foundations of most muscle tightness, discomfort and pain—eventually achieving a more lasting, perhaps permanent releasing of that holding and chronic tension. This release can be rather emotional at times or may just let go with a little Ahhhh. Either way it's a deep letting go that, in my experience as a CMT, regular bodywork rarely accomplishes. Check out the two links at the bottom of this post. In the first you'll find The official Rosen Method website which will explain more Rosen Method Bodywork. The second link is to a video on YouTube that shows you a little of how a Rosen session would look. I'll be taking clients the first part of every week beginning the 4th of September. Feel free to write me with any questions or to make an appointment. www.rosenmethod.com/ www.youtube.com/watch
