Went fishing at Whitewater, not a nibble - bummer!
Broke my frame:( What's up with that??? Drive side rear dropout cracked right down the middle. Very odd. Supposedly Redline has a "limited" lifetime warranty, but of course they don't make this particular model anymore, so we will see what happens.
Couldn't get my HR up this morning to save my life. 170bpm was the best I could muster. Must need to rest - but I didn't ride all weekend. Had planned on doing the Ride for the Y with my daughter, but then it rained, so we didn't go.
My hockey team, the Buzz, came close this year in the Robin. We won our first 2 games and were feelin good, but then we got smoked by a team from Rapid City, SD. Oh well. We were missing several key players and most of the guys that made it were seriously hung over from the party the night before. As always with the Buzz, fun is more importanat that winning, but winning ain't bad either.
I rode outside three times this week. It's always almost impossible to go back to the trainer after getting outside in the "spring". Today I took my chances on the Douglas Trail - probably not the best bet. Still a lot of snow, but was cool, it was like riding through a sandpit or mud hole - felt like CX - woohoo. Sports Balm rules! I got some of the medium strength stuff. I use it on my legs and back. Keeps me super toasty - I'm hooked, like chamois cream.
I got it. First ride outside for the year. Thought I was flying - not. Wind why to help me then hate me, why do love me then depise me, why do you give me hope then destroy me??? Wind oh wind, thou art my enemy in the end.
