living in eventful times

Defrag me

   Fri, May 8, 2009 - 11:57 PM
My mind feels like a heap of breadcrumbs. My attention span reduced to seconds. I swear, I cannot even concentrate long enough to make my bed – I shake out the sheets and then check my email and then smooth the pillowcase, then put the kettle on, then search for a pen to make some notes on a slip of paper but before i make the notes i get distracted by that funny smell coming from the fridge. And then the phone rings. And then I smooth the pillow case, plump the pillow, put it on the bed, check my email again and decide to go out for coffee and finish the bed later.

I need to unplug now.

hamster brain...
And we happen to be staying in the hamster hostel... they keep them caged here. Antigua Guatemala became the tourist zone is was always meant to be... Strange like a ghost town with out the locals around...

I call my self the human kombucha these days
(I may have already told you that.....)
living on caffeine and sugar just to keep up with myself!!
Not totally sure what I'm trying to keep up to /with
but it feels pretty good

I have this brooding hen over here
keeping me grounded yet in high suspense of what is to come!

Quite a switch from my highly disciplined days
Hey, when in Rome.....
We are in Rome arent we?

I watched One Giant Leap again the other night
and Gabrielle Roth said,
"it takes great discipline to be a free spirit" !!!

wow
that mind set really works wonders for me while i'm working the land. i get so much done - completely engrossed in every little thing no matter how brief; then i'm on to the next, shuffling things from here to there, reordering and patterning anew as mother nature's dirty opposable thumbs.

when my mind does that i absolutely marvel at the ride. there is so much; i love it. weeee, crazy fun kind of love it. i just make sure not to lose my balance and remember to be completely present for each little task no matter how brief or half done, less i saw off a thumb or fall down a ladder.

i think it is not lack but a plethora of attention.
