I must say that Cassie is a very fun, beautiful and classy lady with a wickedly cheeky grin that always puts a smile on my face. She has an amazing energy and is a good friend to have around. She a good one to have on your side. Much love to the lovely lady!

Cassie rocks.
I'm not allowed to say how much she rocks, but she rocks enough to nearly capsize the boat of Rocking and Rolling. Yeah, you get the idea. December 4, 2004
Some day you might find yourself marrying Sugar because she is that wonderful and wondrous woman whose world you'd like to wander. Alliteration aside, she is an important friend to have and makes the me laugh until it hurts. Did I mention that she exudes sexyness like a freshly harvested sugarcane? Sweet like molassses...

Hi friends - I've moved most operations over to facebook now that Tribe has become so monumentally difficult to load, kicks me out repeatedly, and is altogether annoying. I'll check in every few months, but gmail is the best way to reach me and facebook / flick are where I'm posting pics and news.

Cassie's patented scale of bird-nerdiness: 1 - know nothing, see nothing, hear nothing 2 - know that owls hunt mice at night because of the secret of nimh 3 - have watched a nature show about birds 4 - know enough to say "It's a raven or a crow, but I don't know which one" 5 - have attended a guided birdwatching trip and identified birds ... read more
Every year, when summer comes I find myself one big ball of wriggling puppy-like excitement. Especially because summer comes a scant three days a year here. For real.

I have a shameful, dirty secret: I love when it's hot out. It's my favorite. Sure, I'll complain like the rest of the world but it's all one big fat lie. I pretend I'm an honest person, because you have to in order to make people believe you're a good citizen. But when summer comes, I don't care. I'd lie, cheat, steal in exch... read more
I opened the door to let the spider out and the grasshopper then came in. Here's what that means, say some, say the ones I might choose to believe for this one moment of blue sky fantastical swallowtail May afternoon:

“The Chinese symbol of good luck and abundance, Grasshopper gives its totem people the ability to take chances. To move on hunches and take the leap forward. Things might not move for them as they do for other people; progress is not step-by-step, but rather extremely fast. T... read more
I am really excited about Barack Obama and I'll tell you why. Several years ago when he was first elected to the Senate, but way before he was running I heard a radio story about his trip to East Africa. He had publicly taken an HIV test in order to promote the practice, which has a huge stigma among Africans (and Amercians for the most part) for one simple reason: to help save lives. Now, there's a lot of talk about lifesaving that goes on with all candidates and it gets all muddled up with ...
