Vibes from within

This is a great weekend as one of my photos from my previous home country, New Zealand, has just been published! It is kind of cool to get recognition for it! Dammit, where is my money?! What, I am not paid?!

The editor of the Danish Psychology Association has asked me to write a new article, the topic is growth, drive, or zest for life. He is curious about what makes me relocate and my ability to handle uncertainty. I am not even sure myself and attempting to put it on a formula seems like a too deductive approach, but I will give it a try.

I am situated in the world through my bodily existence. I act in the world and others’ actions resonate in me. I am moved emotionally, bodily, it is not m... read more

A friend asked me what photography is to me...he set off an avalanche of thinking...I thought I would just post some of what I wrote to him....comments, ideas from a personal perspective is more than welcome...

"....Maybe photography in general has to do with "presence", being aware of the world around. How do I take my photos? I am, I shoot, I look, I adjust, I shoot? Maybe the possibly never ending dichotomy between thought and body is put in to play. Either you let the two co-exist and ... read more

Christmas in Christchurch and dinner at an Indian restaurant. To add more randomness then with an American dude I picked up somewhere in town. I think that was the strangest Christmas EVER, sitting in the sun, eating prawn ala Indian, with a German friend, and American guy from Miami. However, we did have an interesting conversation about life and he was so kind to update me on what is happening in Denmark since I have not really kept up with it for the last year. Vote again for the Euro? Huh... read more

Jackson, my friend, and I have talked spirituality lately, provoked by the talk by Sue Nicholson, as she claims NZ is one of the most spiritual places on earth. Jackson and I looked at each other in wonder.
I wonder if she means only in the sense spiritual when thinking on the individual basis, but no spiritual connections across living beings. No distributed mind in the here and now, only across time and space. Escapticism and not existential being? Isnt the now our sphere of creation wher... read more

I went to a talk yesterday with the prime psychic reader on the kiwi programme sensing murder. She mostly talked about her upbringing, but still interesting. Again I am reminded of another part of me that I do want to explore more, particular with my family history in mind. Telepathy and visions run in the family. If you are a lefty and have those abilities, then you are definately part of our family. So many stories through the years forcing us to accept its existence, regarding your persona... read more

Will fill in the gaps....later when I am not in a loop....

Filling in the gaps today, Saturday the 15th of Dec. Still in a loop. Work finished yesterday. I said goodbye to my colleagues after 2.5 months. It feels good to be free again. To know that I will be moving on. That there is something better awaiting around the corner once the transition phase is over. I got a nice card with personal notes from all my colleagues. My Canadian friend said she would continue bugging me at Facebook. I ... read more

Greeting the new and maybe grieving the known. Losing your footing momentarily and do a new dance prevents you from waking up by the fall of the curtain on the stage that was once yours. it is about finding the courage to put yourself into play.... my next script of life is already drafted, awaiting for me to speak the lines and act the scenes. I am thrilled by playing a new role on a new world stage...

- Are you Irish?
- No
- For how long have you lived in the US?
- I have never lived there. Just visited
- Where are you from?
- I am from Denmark
- Oh, so you are Swedish?

What is wrong with being Danish??! I am not a piece of pastry!

My kiwi friends say that I am getting a kiwi accent. So, what nationality does that turn me into?? French?

Re: What do you do in your free time? What do you enjoy doing? (in INFJ) Work drains me too and I need down-time to recharge during weekdays, but I often also have some sense of urgency, as if I cannot just do nothing. Instead I end up writing e-mails, searching the Internet, or sorting all my photos. During weekends I... read more
