Love words

January 29, 2008
Kassandra... this woman with eyes as pure as her soul. She's so nice, that's a pitty we're so far away one from another, since we are alike. Her creativity has no boundaries, and she dances beautifully.
My little sweet vampire, I hope your life will be full of bliss, as you deserve. (^_^)

Can you believe what happened to me?

... was said to me today for the first time: "Halloween is over!" Funny thing is, I was only wearing a feet-long black velvet dress and a black cloak. Not really my most unusual clothing items. Although 3 steps later I got a "I like your cape".

It wasn't a shock, I was expecting it now for quite some time. When I got the "Are you a vampire?" I'll be happy... This are some of my favorites so far:

- I love your hat
- Are you in a play?
- Do you work here? (said during one visit at... read more

I was recently contacted by a lovely Spaniard customer that wanted me to make a wedding pillow and a flower girl basket for her Gothic wedding. I am always honored by these requests, and it means the world to me that someone loves my designs so that they trust me to make the perfect accessory for their special day. My customer was telling me that it had been impossible for her to find something that suited her taste for her wedding in her city, so she had to look for it someplace else, and ... read more

I saw you today not stopping to yield for pedestrians that were already crossing.
I saw you driving in the night without lights.
I saw you not stopping at a red light.
I saw you not stopping at a stop sign.
I saw you driving with earplugs.
I saw you driving without protecting devices on.
I saw you driving on the sidewalk.

Traffic regulations don't apply to you because you are driving a bicycle?

I was spending some time today browsing through a public forum about the news about the "New Moon" film release - the second movie about the Twilight series. I learned yesterday that Michael Sheen is going to play a part on it, so naturally I will have to watch it now.

Somehow the celeb moms came into conversation, and one of the posters was saying that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt didn't seem like good parents to her. Which is perfectly fine, but then I read this sentence: "And this is ... read more

about me
Hello there and welcome. It’s a pleasure having you here.

My little world is not little at all. I have a lot of interests, and here are a few of them.

I am exploring right know my dark side. It’s been always there, although I was not really paying attention to it. My family was never supportive in that matter, and I kept it hidden and only to myself. After a long absence from the Goth world, I am returning now to it, and I am having a great time. I love the Victorian Neo-Romantic look, and my wardrobe is growing slowly with beautiful pieces, either purchased or made by myself. I have now my own home, and I am enjoying decorating it as an extension of my Gothic personality. I am discovering great music, and reading again classic books such as Poe or Stoker’s novels (and some new books, like What is Goth). I like to spend some time getting dressed, and I have been surprised when people complimented my outfits or my accessories. It’s wonderful being yourself and expressing yourself without having to worry about what would your neighbor (or your mother) will think of you. I have discovered a whole new world out there full of possibilities.
In my home country, you can’t really express yourself in a Gothic manner without having to deal with a lot of narrow-minded people. I have only seen there the Punk or the Cybergoth look, and people have a lot of stereotypes in their mind. You simply can’t dress like that and be a nice person. If I would go walking by the street in a Victorian ensemble in my city, people would think only 2 things: that I’m going to a costume party or that I’m just nuts; or worse yet, as I walk by their side, they will turn their head, give me a looong look and begin to walk faster, just in case I am going to threat them. Nobody would think I could love dark poetry, romantic writers, or classic horror movies to dress like that. Nobody would think I am not following the fashion industry and being myself. It’s funny how your perspective of your home country can change when you live elsewhere.
I love Tim Burton, Danny Elfmann, Poe, Becquer and almost anything related to vampires, among many other things.

I also happen to be a belly dancer. I came to the dance world as an exercise form, but I fell in love with it. I have spent now 3 years learning to belly dance with different teachers, and I have learnt a lot with them. It’s not only a question of dancing; it’s about being confident about yourself, about finding a way to express your emotions. I have tried the classical Egyptian, the American Cabaret and the American Tribal styles. My thoughts and taste are now sending me to Gothic Belly Dance (it couldn’t be different in this time of my life).

Right now I am very into crafts. I have been making Gothic accessories to decorate my home, and I love the time I spend doing it. I also love when the project is finished, because that means I can begin a new one. It's addictive!

I am also learning to sew.

There are more things, if you want to explore them in some of the other places in my profile.

Maybe you share some of my interests. If it’s so, please send me a note, and let me know a little about yourself. If not, I wish you peace and happiness.

I thank you for being here and hope to see you around.
