I am a 44 year old, singing, dancing, song writing,poetry dreaming, lover of the arts Sistah. Full to the brim with life, just bubbling over!!!
I went to the High School of Music and Art before it became LaGuardia High School of Music and the Performing Arts. My concentration was in Voice, even though I did play piano for my audition. (Maybe a good thing-I barely play the piano now-need to go back for some lessons.)
I attended New York University on a scholarship from 1981-1985 where I completed my Bachelor's degree with a double major in Spanish and Linguistics.
I've spent half of my 43 years(about 22 of them) working for three banks. Due to some forced retirement,(Thank the Creator!), I am now free to explore the Artiste in me. To whom much is given, much is required.
I am looking forward to, among other things:
Starting a greeting card business.....
Publishing a few books....
Immersing myself in the world of dance, improving my technique and increasing my confidence in this genre.....
Improving my vocal technique......
Releasing a spoken word CD.....
So, looks like I'll be busy for at least the next 22 years doing all of this.
Oh, I'd also like to teach and work with children!
