funky trousers

saw these on ebay and wondered how to make them...

They look like full circle pant legs that have been folded over to make a front and back seam.

if you just cut two circles with the hole for your leg about 3 inches wider in diameter, then cut a curved crotch (for example:www.geocities.com/sheikhani...ume1.html) . Then sew them together at the crotch. Take a band that fits comfortably around your hips-and sew it to the pant legs from crotch area out to the front center of the leg, then crotch area to the back center of the leg.

Then you pin the rest of the fabric to fit the outside of the leg snugly- folding it in one giant pleat inward where the first part of the sewing left off in the center of the front and back legs. then just sew a seam on a diagonal to close off the fabric you folded inward starting at where all the fabric meets at the hip band and angling sharply toward the outside of the circled pant leg.

That should do it... great find for pants btw i might have to copy this design myself... :)

You could try taking a double circle skirt and turning that into pants? O.o
