about me
I am a professional Polynesian dancer, aspiring writer, and massage therapist (legit, thank you very much, gutter brains!). I have been dancing since i was 12, I have been doing it professionally with the Pacific Island Dancers since 14. I started a Polynesian dance club at my high school, Ayala, senior year which also has a another chapter at Chino Hills High, both of which are still going on strong. I try to appear at a every luau they perform and have danced at most of them. I also dance at parties including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, clubs, company parties, luaus, dive bars (eww...), festivals, beach shindigs, you name it! I even flew across two states to make a special appearance at a family reunion (okay, it was my family, but still! thats dedication to the art!). The worst part was trying to take a 3 foot grass skirt on the plane as a carry-on item. I had wanted to be a massage therapist the moment I left high school. My parents refused to pay for it at first (will you be touching men?!? aye dios mio.....) but made me agree to go to college for a semester (my parents wanted to see if i would get it out of my system....). At the end of the semester i was still determined to go to massage therapy school, being one of the youngest in my class at 19. I finished nine months later just in time for the next fall semester at college, which i still intended to finish. ^_^ So here i am now, a massage therapist/professional dancer half way through finishing my degree in English.
