Bellydance show

Looking for something entertaining to do Saturday night?
From 7 to 9 pm at the African American Performing arts center (San Pedro & Copper) on the West side of the Fair Grounds there will be a Belly Dance Show featuring Albuquerque Belly Dance studios & teachers. Each Studio is given sin minutes to strut their stuff, so it will appeal to event the shortest attention span. All proceeds to benefit the Isshin Ryn Club, a local martial arts studio that works with at-risk kids.
My studio (Virgo) will be there with a rollicking steam-punk Carnival (as in carnies not the Brazilian kind) group number, more traditional styles of Middle Eastern & North African dance will be represented as well. If you have ever been curios about what is our there in our very diverse community of dance, this is a great chance to see local teachers strut their stuff. Information on all of the performers will be included in the programs.
I have tickets & you can get them at the door $10 general, $5 students and seniors.
See you there!

ribbon and chainette fringe source in Albuquerque

I just found a chainette fringe source in Albuquerque, they have many
colors and several lengths, all at about $3 a yard, and a limited
selection of beaded fringe. They also carry ribbons, lace and trims
on rolls for yards for the dollar. There are fabric flowers, feathers
(including many dyed ostrich)and they can order specialty fabrics and
are local and nice people as well.

It is Called Bessie's Gift shop (she is fourth generation S Valley)
although you should look for the words "lace and ribbon" on the sign.
121 Old S. Coors SW, South of Central W. in the S. Valley.
(505) 831 6189

This is a great old-fashioned place where everything is on rolls and
someone helps you and cuts for you . . . plus there is a great bakery
with the best sweet breads (the flour/sugar kind not the icky kind)
just next door.

They are open on Weekends, call for exact hours.

Support love, Boycott Lotaburger

Dear Blake’s Lotaburger
As a result of the action of Brian Rule* I shall no longer patronize your establishments, and will encourage all my acquaintance and all of the persons I can reach on my online blogs to stay away also. This pains me as I live less than ¼ mile from one of your restaurants and have been a regular customer there and enjoyed waling to the restaurant and eating with my family. Nonetheless, I cannot support a business that can be party to such hateful actions as trying to keep persons in love from the joy and sanctity of marriage. Freedom of religion is freedom FROM the dogma of one religion over all!

I am ashamed of you all and will not return to your restaurants till you publicly condemn this action and show that your organization is not the bigoted and hateful Mr. Rule has made you seem.

Lotaburger had been for eighteen years my hamburger of choice, no longer!

Feel a bit better now

I can only hope that Obama spends his first 300 days removing all evidence of W (a traitor who should be out under the corn field) he will enter office with unprecedented power thanks to W and his owners criminal behavior, before righting it he should undo what they have done and put them in chains while taking all of their personal assets. He could because of W's administration, and he should, right before he returns us to a state of democracy . . . but I am sure the traitors are not afraid, after all it is only the republicans of the last 40 years who act in such a manner.
Republicans, take back your party, no more robber barons who hide behind a religion they obviously don't believe in.
sigh feel better
