Maybe it just needs a more vibrant color for the skirt and gauntlets? The black or dark green (can't tell from picture too well) just seems to be dragging it down a bit. Sometimes us pale-skinned dancers can look a little too "Morticia" in a really dark color... :)
Best wishes on the costume making - a local costumer is going to be teaching us some tricks of the trade soon. All I can do right now is make simple alterations, it will be interesting to try something more involved, like beading, or making a headband :) |

I have to agree the blues/green just disappear against the dark background fabric. But then maybe someone out there is looking for just that look. I thought you looked fab-u-las in it darling saturday night.

Skirt
I had the same opinion that was already given - more vibrant skirt and gauntlets.

Bra andd belt are fantastic, as costume designer myself, I agree a different skirt even a circular flowing chiffon in one of the colors would make it pop, and give you better body balance. Gauntlets would still work.
