about me
I make stuf that burns.... most of it burns me back....

After meeting Myles once I referred to him as a "megalomaniac disguised as an anarchist." That comment was in no way intended as a put-down, but nevertheless may say as much about me as Myles.
I've still only met him once - but after some cyber experience and a little gossip this is my conclusion: Myles is a potent human being who has a lot to offer - given the right set of circumstances. (Like so many of us.) He's funny, interesting, fierce and surprisingly kind. He can formulate ideas from a blueprint of concepts and visions the likes of which most of us only glimpse when reading science fiction.
He's also that rare individual: willing to inhabit the real dark spaces without resorting to simple pathologies or cop outs. I sense you got a way to go yet on this path Myles, but with perseverance and a measure of grace the treasure you will return with will likely enrich us all.

Last night I made some steel staffs.
The feel a little too heavy.
They feel a little too long.
I am a little scared when I spin them.
I LIKE IT!
I know that once I get some super grippy rubber on the handles and I practice then the ...

So I took a week off work to carry on with building the sheep handler.

I know that once I get some super grippy rubber on the handles and I practice then the weight and length will be good.
So for now I will not put wics on them- they will get the big padded ends of wimpy goodness. But to learn body wraps and stalls with double staff, I expect to get hit a few times and it will still hurt plenty when I d...

I am well sick of buses and am looking forward to the freedom of having some wheels next month. (this means I can go see peoples and not be a zombie because I is spending 30hours a week on a bus)
No offence to zombies of course.
Other than that I is rolling in happy which is hard to wash off, but I don't mind if it stains a little...

So I took a week off work to carry on with building the sheep handler.
Work went well and although it functioned fairly faultlessly we have to do a few "mods" to allow large sheep to go through it without causing them any harm.... so a total rebuild is required and I'll have to take another week off in a fortnight or so.
Then I come back to work and find out that my manager has resigned and I'm going to be left holding the balls of responsibility. Good but rather daunting news.
All t...

I have a business venture going on in the Waikato. I am building a machine that flips sheep so they can be crotched and bellied.
My son is still very cool, a taller version of cool than he was last time I wrote.
Life is generally good- but there are some parts that are knee slappi...
