It’s been a while now time to write a bit

My most recent pursuit has been to find out all I can about Public Houses or drinking establishments. Why I should do this is for several reasons.

Ok so I find myself in the bad books again….over books. It happens generally at this time of the year; just after a birthday when friends persist in buying me the books they think I ought to read. This usually stems from some conversation I’ve had about a dream or something in my imagination or experience. The 23rd of April, St George's Day – The patron saint of England.

George who was born in the 3rd Century, in what is now Turkey. He spent most of his life travelling around the Middle East and never actually set foot in England. He became the Patron Saint of England in 1415 AD when the English Soldiers under Henry V won the battle of Agincourt against the French.

He exemplified upstanding character and righteous purpose and his silver bullets were symbols of "justice by law," He was all about clean living and noble efforts in the cause of fighting crime.
