Wangthang, Authentic Presensce

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/chachi-corrigan/blog/060e9b0e-9946-40e0-8395-edd979e7e008">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/b5a/47d/b5a47da8-6c06-4cee-9b7c-48e86b57cca0.thumb" width="53" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div> These are excerpts of the book "Shambhala, Sacred Path of the Warrior".

------ compiled from the writings and teachings of the Venerable Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the Dorje Dradul of Mukpo, and his students.

He who has neither beginning nor end
Who possesses the glory of Tiger Lion Garuda Dragon
Who possesses the confidence beyond words
I pay homage at the feet of the Rigden King

"For the dignified Shambhala person,
An unwaning authentic presence dawns" (151)
AUTHENTIC PRESENCE: (Tibetan "wangthang"); a "field of power." "The basic idea of authentic presence is that, because you achieve some merit or virtue, therefore that virtue begins to be reflected in your being, your presence. So authentic presence is based on cause and effect. The cause of authentic presence is the merit you accumulate, and the effect is the authentic presence itself." (pg 159) "Authentic presence brings meekness, perkiness, outrageousness and ultimately achieves inscrutability. (See The Four Dignities of the Warrior's Path" Naturally, the apprentice warrior must go through training. (See "Shambhala Training", starting with the right attitude to life, experiencing delight and leading your life elegantly. Pain and depression, as well as pleasure, may be source materials for study. A sense of wholesomeness makes life worth living; a sense of genuineness brings confidence. (Personal) Outer Authentic Presence: "Because you achieve some merit or virtue, therefore that virtue begins to be reflected in your being, your presence." "If a person is modest and decent and exertive, then he will begin to manifest some sense of good and wholesome being to those around him." (pg 159, 160-61)
Inner Authentic Presence: "...the inner meaning of authentic presence... is connected...to the path of Shambhala warriorship. Inner authentic presence...is connected to the realization of primordial space, or egolessness."
CAUSE: Letting Go"The cause or the virtue that brings inner authentic presence is emptying out and letting go. Inner authentic presence comes from exchanging yourself with others, from being able to regard other people as yourself, generously and without fixation. An experience of non-fixed mind; mind without fixation. So the inner merit that brings inner authentic presence is the experience of non-fixed mine, mind without fixation." ...
RESULT : Genuiness. "a person who has inner authentic presence...has an overwhelming genuineness, which might be ...frightening because it is so true and honest and real. You experience a sense of command radiating from the person of inner authentic presence." "on one hand authentic presence is the result of a gradual, developmental process of letting goof ego fixation. On the other hand, it is also the result of an instantaneous, magical, process of letting go of fixed mind. The two are always working together. ... the abrupt and spontaneous process that brings authentic presence is raising windhorse." (pg 159-160) "In order to sustain {the} glimpse and manifest that presence fully, there is a need for discipline. ... This process is called the warrior's path of the four dignities.</div>

    </a>
										<div>
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience.

The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in. He must reflect what is projected upon him. And he must have a strong sense of the sardonic. This is what uncouples him from belief in his own pretensions. The sardonic is all that permits him to move within himself. Without this quality, even occasional greatness will destroy a man.

My father once told me that respect for the truth comes close to being the basis for all morality. "Something cannot emerge from nothing," he said. This is profound thinking if you understand how unstable "the truth" can be.

What of the harmonics inherent in the act of prophecy? Does the prophet see the future or does he see a line of weakness, a fault or cleavage that he may shatter with words or decisions as a diamond-cutter shatters his gem with a blow of a knife?

God created Arrakis to train the faithful.

Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

Much that was called religion has carried an unconscious attitude of hostility toward life. True religion must teach that life is filled with joys pleasing to the eye of God, that knowledge without action is empty. All men must see that the teaching of religion by rules and rote is largely a hoax. The proper teaching is recognized with ease. You can know it without fail because it awakens within you that sensation which tells you this is something you've always known.

No matter how exotic human civilization becomes, no matter the developments of life and society nor the complexity of the machine/human interface, there always come interludes of lonely power when the course of humankind, depends upon the relatively simple actions of single individuals.

Atrocity has no excuses, no mitigating argument. Atrocity never balances or rectifies the past. Atrocity merely arms the future for more atrocity. It is self-perpetuating upon itself — a barbarous form of incest. Whoever commits atrocity also commits those future atrocities thus bred.

The life of a single human, as the life of a family or an entire people, persists as memory. My people must come to see this as part of their maturing process.

Your initial problem will be the breaking tensions arising from the divergent assembly of minutiae/data on specialized subjects. Be warned. Without mentat overlay integration, you can be immersed in the Babel Problem, which is the label we give to the omnipresent dangers of achieving wrong combinations from accurate information.

Let there be no doubts that I am the assemblage of our ancestors, the arena in which they exercise my moments. They are my cells and I am their body.

The trance state of prophecy is like no other visionary experience. It is not a retreat from the raw exposure of the senses (as many trance states) but an immersion in a multitude of new movements. The things you see in this trance are sobering, often shattering. They demand your utmost effort to remain whole, and even so, you emerge from that state profoundly changed.

i swore she was carrying on an extra marital affair

hey hey hey! (oops commercial) i love it, i bought it, and its mine!

she lives in puerto rico and loves to swim alot

they suggested she cut it all off. and she did. and now she is traumatized.

i look at her pictures and call them hair porn

her fiance is long and blond, down to here, ya know?

what does it make you feel like to put makeup on?

if i go out to party, it takes 2 hours to put on my makeup

i come like a canvas, ready to paint

if someone thru my makeup away, i would go to the dump to dig it out

im so used to wearing makeup

that would be a good model of mower to take care of the grounds with

do it! do it! do it! take it off! off comes the makeup

i feel so wierd

Would you swallow a parasite… on purpose?! The “Tyra Show” investigates this shocking new diet trend. We’ll meet two women who say they’re willing to ingest the potentially deadly tapeworm in an effort to lose weight. We’ll find out just how big these creepy crawlies can get -- and meet a man who actually sells them on the Internet. Also, meet a woman who has had a patch sewn onto her tongue to purposefully make it painful to swallow. Last, the latest trends in tiny pets!

    </a>
										<div>Today was a nice day, in that reserved, rainy sort of way. I got up early, so i could get my phone minutes charged again, then came back home, did some work, and went back to bed, and leisurly slept till 2pm. I felt so very lazy. Roused myself and played on the computer a bit, got some bills taken care of, bundled up good, and walked to yoga class. Had a very good class. I always do tho. The teacher is the most phenomenal of ladies. She is so calm, energetic, and centered in a very good place. she has taught me alot about smiling again. hehe. I guess this week was more prosperous, i realized i had too much food in the fridge. not for me to eat. hee hee. Thankfully, i have been on an eating binge for a few days. I have little fat to keep we warm in cold weather, hee hee. I think i might just turn on my salt lamp, dim the lights, smoke in bed, and impersonate a coma. Had a hottub session last night, in lieu of a hot sweat. That was nice. And im having a friend home deliver a bitchin' hair cut to me before my birthday. So i can be ready for some imaginary trouble to get into on my day, haha. Maybe i will go downtown and look dangerous and drink a non alcohol beer! hee hee. The walk home tonite, was a nice, slow, 45 minute walk thru the rain, and i got pretty wet. But i was hummin' from yoga class, so it was the most pleasent of rainy walks ive had. I do have to say tho, the last week and a half, have been the quietest where i live, that i have seen it. I love it. live right by a park, so its fun to see the whole range of color changes as part of my backyard. The tobacco went late, so its taking its good ol' sweet time turning, but what has cured, is just wonderful stuff. i love the smell of turning tobacco. Anyways, hope all' yer days were good, and don't ferget to align at 11:11

I had the best attitude i have had for awhile today. Nice day. Hope everyone else's is fine as well.</div>

										<div>Subject: Join me in standing with Dawn

Hi,

For two years, CIGNA has denied Dawn Smith treatment for her brain tumor. She's had enough, so she's heading to Philadelphia to confront CIGNA's CEO in person.

Dawn wants to make sure that CIGNA can't ignore her when she gets there, so she's been collecting hundreds of pill bottles with messages of support along the way.

But MoveOn is taking it up a notch. They're collecting thousands of statements of support online, putting them in pill bottles, and delivering them to Philadelphia in time for Dawn's big arrival. I just sent one in and it's being printed now. Will you join me in standing with Dawn at the link below?

http://pol.moveon.org/dawnmessage/

Thanks!

When Dawn Smith arrives in Philadelphia, we want to show how many people are standing with her. To show the breadth of support she has, Dawn wants to deliver a mountain of pill bottles filled with messages of support. If you submit your message online, we'll print it out, put it in a pill bottle, and get it to Dawn in time for Thursday's big showdown.

A pill bottle with your printed message will be delivered to Philadelphia for Dawn to present to H. Edward Hanway, CIGNA's CEO.</div>

										<div>Well, the evening started out with so much enthusiasm and pep. I got that plump knocked right the hell out of me. ouch. Shit, i hurts tonite.
I was riding along at a nice clip, and found a small, near to the ground, cut off pole, the light didn't catch. Up! Up! and over! the goddamned bars i did fly. I have been doing yoga enouph lately, that i was acutely aware, in a beautiful and detached way, of the arch of my body, the scent of the air and its dampness, and the pretty white fog i was flying thru. A rather timeless moment, i gotta say. That was a good 16-20 fly. I would have envied it in high school, in my track and field competiions. arg. what an idge. I skinned my forehead up in a spot, and was remarkabley unbruised. i don't fucking know how, it hurts so much, from a place on my back, down each arm, along the nerves, catching them a bit on fire.
I hit, and sat, in that magic void that occures when physical trauma jars the body frame, and contemplated wether i would have anything broke when i came too. I couldn't make the fingers work for a few, but i just thot back to my favorite kill bill movie, and just looked for them, breathed my yoga breath, and told them to work. Wow, i never had nerves knocked out. So it hurts all over, yet the yoga i have been doing, has left me in rather perfect shape. If this would have happened 5 years ago, i would have had a few broken bones, and lots of months of grief. While it hurts, its remarkable for my skeleton and muscles to be in the same shape a 12 year olds would be.

I flew, snapped that bike frame in half, (damn, it was my favorite bike) but landed with the handlebars still in my hands! I would have been a bmx kid if i grew up in another time. Anyway, give me applause for being an idiot, and living thru it in a lot of pain! aye.

the picture is almost identical to what my bike now looks like, piece wise.</div>
