Whether leading a class at burning man or leading me on a leash Lynx intrigues me. I’ve never met a more loving, kind and patient man. He is quite unassuming, so don’t expect him to make the first move, but he is the most interesting person I know, and so very, very special to me.

Wish there were more people of his caliber. As true as steel, generous, protective of his friends and a quiet thunder. Such creativity brewing beneath the surface-- watch as he unleahes it.

about me
Just because I look before I leap, doesn't mean I don't leap...
I am a caring friend, don't suffer fools gladly, and regularly toss myself a challenge to keep from slipping into the all too convenient blandness of couch potato-hood.
Longstanding extracurriculars
- diverse martial arts
- Burning Man veteran (fire dancer, head of Camp Arachnid)
- 3 triathlons (Olympic distance) to date
- languages
- creative, empathic top
Always wishing I had more time to pursue artistic directions, mostly sticking to the safe professional career so far. But oh, how Cirque du Soleil and the edgier local SF equivalents make me want to run away from it all sometimes!
Sure, there is conflict between some religious views and science. That has been going on for ages, and I'm not going to tackle it here.
... Much as it offends me that there is now a book available at the Grand Canyon National Park bookstores explaining how the Canyon was formed a few thousand years ago by the wrath of God ( www.nytimes.com/2004/10/26...26cany.html ).
... Okay, other than that I'm not going to tackle it here.
I stood in the checkout line...

This article is sorta surreal for a number of reasons, primarily the image of frat guys sending bulk text messages about discount cocaine:

However, I was also surprised to hear that there are now degrees in homeland security. Counter-terrorism, sure, I can see some number of people pursuing that as a degree. But 'homeland security'? The phrase itself is something Miniluv could cook up. Doesn't it seem like an odd title to...

Hey, let's toss bait in the water to attract sharks. And then jump in!
Sharks are very elegant bits of design by Mother Nature, but their brains are the size of... well, something very small. If the water smells like food, then every so often they're gonna bite whatever they come across assuming it's food.
I really don't know much about diving, but I'm amazed an organized dive tour would pull stunts like this. Here it i...

Every so often I hear of a friend getting burned by the ease with which online searches can be done these days. They go and comment on a work-related web forum about floor tiles, and they use the same handle or email address as they used two years ago when they used to go to special swinger conventions for people who like to dress up as sea monkeys. Someone does a text search and... oops, busted!
These collisions are commonplace now, and private investigators know how to data mine.
Ar...

Every summer, World Arts West has a multiple weekend dance festival.
The important part about that for these chilly winter months is that they hold auditions over the upcoming two weekends. 11AM-7PM, both Saturdays and Sundays. Anyone can go and watch, for the princely sum of $7 for the entire day.
The performances are of course not super-polished, but it's a great dose of dance diversity for the MTV generation because each group only gets 5-10 minutes. The result is this odd cavalca...
