NEXT STOP IN LIFE... PORTLAND OREGON MAY/JUNE 2008 I would rather sit in silence then go on and on about nothing. I am currently in Peoria, Il and am seriously entertaining the thought of moving to Portland Oregon. I will always feel I am 2,000 miles from where "home"is. I have lived my life equally all up and down California (prefer Northern CA.) and Peoria, IL. I have lived in (in no particular order) Peoria IL, Las Vegas NV, Sacramento CA, Woodland CA, Roseville CA, Davis, CA, Montclair CA, Oxnard CA, Camarillo CA, Marysville CA, Fairfield CA, Vacaville CA. I am seldom content with my surroundings so I have always moved a lot, although am currently buying a house in West Peoria IL. I would like to be living somewhere that has a lot more interesting places, interesting people, good live music (preferably original music and NOT Nu Metal), independent book stores, video rental joints (large selection of horror, indie, and midnight/cult flicks), and record stores (where has a good selection of punk and goth/death rock). Politically, I figure I am a centrist. I am more somewhat Socially Conservative and Fiscally Liberal (I believe there should be economic help for people, but I hate the people who abuse it. I am a Catholic (chosen religion, baptized and confirmed 1999). I also believe I have some philosophies that lean towards Buddhist. I believe religion is a personal choice and should be chosen for self, not chosen for others (and I am open to your religious beliefs- or lack thereof, as I would hope you would be of mine)… And I do not believe in killing for religion. Yes I am talking both about the United States and those of Muslim persuasion. I think Religious Wars of “my god is bigger than your god” is barbaric and primitive. I do feel many people have forgotten how to laugh (especially at themselves). I do come across as pretty serious, but I need humor in my life, the kind that makes you think and/or cringe (Eddie Izzard, Bill Hicks, Opie and Anthony, Jimmy Norton, Patrice O’Neil, Dave Attell, and Joe Rogan).
