The Eliot Spitzer scandal reminds me of something that I read somewhere about "moral health" - that the test of whether a person is truly moral is whether their conduct is the same regardless of who is watching.

1) Are you currently in a serious relationship? I am married, monogamous, completely loyal and committed, and more in love every day - even when I'm annoyed as hell. 2) What was your dream growing up? Once I dreamed I was weaving a magical tapestry... Oh, you mean, what did I want to be? I remember saying I wanted to have a secretary instead of being one, but that's about it. I didn't start cultivating life drea... read more

Mix up one pitcher of Crystal Light Sunrise in Classic Orange Add four packets of Emergen-C in Super Orange Add citrus vodka to taste, and serve on the rocks It's especially good after a long hard day of playing the didgeridoo, chanting, and choral singing.

Or something to that effect. One of the signs was something like, "He does a lot of church volunteer work." The reasoning was that people who do a lot of "good work" use that as a justification for the bad things they do. Sort of a way to be blind to how bad they are. That got me thinking. I know a LOT of UU church volunteers being one myself, and while they are mostly really good people... read more

To describe joy, pain, life experiences To explore and develop personal philosophy As a vehicle for processing self-awareness To rant about an irritation To communicate an idea To report a change As a sounding board As something to do with my thoughts To solicit feedback on any of the above So, I wonder, why do YOU blog? Is it like a conversation you would have with your friends IRL if you... read more

about me
I am an infant, noticing the world around her for the first time - and a young girl, riding my bicycle as fast as I can and trying to catch tadpoles in the pond - and a teenager, sneaking a first cigarrette - a young woman in love for the first time and getting her heart broken- and a pregnant woman who is completely absorbed with the life inside her - and a sculptor, trying to use her hands to express a relationship with Spirit - a businesswoman, sticking with the agenda, managing projects - a UU NeoPagan, striving to maintain connection with nature and spirit while cooperating in community - a priestess, offering herself to the Goddess in any way she is called - a volunteer who wants the world to be more love-filled - a mom, trying to give her children a home and help them find their place in the world - and a wife, mystified by love - a woman approaching middle age, trying to understand what happened to the infant noticing the world around her for the first time

Susan is a great, caring, campassionate person who takes a lot of time out of her day to provide open pagan activities for the community. We would all be at a great loss without her. And she didn't have a testimonial on her profile yet, so I decided to write one.
