When John Nakagawa sent us this article we thought for sure it would be another person's perspective on the true meaning of the 11/11/11 phenomenon — until we read it all the way through and realized that it was something else altogether. Don't be fooled by the title.
This is a really personal piece, about what happened to him when he joined together with three close female friends, halfway between the Island of the Sun and the Island of the Moon, to open the Divine Feminine Triangle. On the surface of this story John is talking about his 11/11/11 experience, but underneath it all he is asking us to reflect upon the power of love and the importance of knowing what it truly means to love from the heart.

Lake Titicaca 11/11/11 By John Nakagawa www.spiritofmaat.com/dec11/l...aca.html Our boat slowed as we neared midpoint between the Islands of the Moon and Sun in Lake Titicaca. It was Friday 11/11/11 just before 11:11am. It was a beautiful spring day in South America after a night lit by a full moon . . . At 12,500ft (3811m) Lake Titicaca is one of the world's highest and largest lakes. It takes days to get used to the altitude. It has many islands that are home to an ancient people who don't use cars and some, no machines. Their "dream catchers" are identical to those used by native North Americans. They remind me of the Hopi. Some of the inhabited islands are man-made out of reeds. From outer space the lake looks like a puma chasing a rabbit. How did they know this? A decade ago ruins of an ancient city were found under the waters of the lake near Copacabana, Bolivia A few days earlier a moonlit boat cruise on the lake led me to a series of healings and to an experience in the "Divine Feminine Triangle". Our Lemurian Awakening group of 30 people from 11 different countries had arrived on the shores of Lake Titicaca. I was the only Asian on the trip. I got off the bus and ran into Andrea and her mother Alba. This daughter and mother get along great. It's a beautiful thing to see. It was a cold evening and Andrea offered to share her shawl with me. We boarded little boats for the town of Copacabana. At first we sat inside the boat. Then I got brave and suggested we sit outside. The cool wind as we sailed across the lake, the moon and its reflection on the water, the ancient city below, a beautiful Colombian woman sharing her shawl with me . . . all this and the soft feminine spray of Lake Titicaca's waters melted me into her arms, unable to move. The next morning I not only awoke with multiple visits to the bathroom, I was feeling very emotional. My friend and tour guide Pilar, who was born in Bolivia and now lives in Houston, called for Andrea. Andrea, our tour doctor, is a Doctor of Natural Medicine and acupuncturist who studied in Bogota, Colombia and China. Her mother Alba went with her to China and studied acupuncture too! Andrea treated me with nurturing feminine acupressure and acupuncture. I started crying and I quickly wiped my tears with a tissue. She shook her finger at me and demonstrated wiping tears in a slower soft nurturing feminine manner instead. More tissues. I slept the day and dreamed that the ancient civilization was whispering to me through the waters of the lake. I was supposed to tell Pilar to organize a meditation for the "Divine Feminine Triangle". Here's a diagram. Biological mothers not required. Seek and ye shall find people to fill the positions. Hire a therapist to fill a point in the triangle if needed. The elder women work together to support the children. Mother can tell stories and idiosyncrasies about her son, thus helping to better understand their husband. The elder women act as a check & balance to keep sanity and improve communication. They also insure fair play during dating. Is this how the ancients lived? Pilar, her husband Rick, and I met in a Flower of Life class a few years ago. They raised four grown kids and are one of the few happily married "spiritual" couples I know of. Pilar told me when she was a newlywed she reached out and created a relationship just before the tour Pilar flew to Los Angeles for a week to help her wheelchair bound Mother in Law pack and move to Boston. |

I helped pack the computers. In some ways Pilar is like a mother to me. Pilar then flew with her Mother to Boston, helped her unpack, and then days later flew to Bolivia to lead the tour. I realized these are unique and capable women who live the Divine Feminine Triangle in their everyday lives. In the Divine Feminine Triangle meditation Pilar would be the Mother, Alba the Mother, Andrea the Daughter/Wife and me the Son/Husband. It was as if the four of us were brought together just for this. Our boat slowed as we neared the midpoint between the Islands of the Moon and Sun in Lake Titicaca. It was Friday 11/11/11 just before 11:11am. It was a beautiful spring day in South America after a night lit by a full moon. We were ready for our Feminine/ Masculine balancing meditation. We gathered in a circle on the upper deck of the boat and celebrated in this remarkable feminine center of our planet with more 11's than I can count. After the Feminine/Masculine balancing meditation, the four of us began our Divine Feminine Triangle meditation. Alba and Pilar sat on the bench above, Andrea and I on the ground below. I could feel the power of Feminine cooperation. I closed my eyes and we all hugged. In the darkness I turned into a little bubble in the great void. I felt like a kid again. Golden beams of light connected our hearts and I could see the beams forming the triangle and more. We were living sacred geometry. We hoped to help manifest the Divine Feminine Triangle. I like this meditation of turning myself into a little bubble and forgetting about modern adult life for a while. It brings me back to when things were simpler, and generates a feeling that I call, "Simple loving". It's a warm glow in my chest that comes without much thought of the future or our self-created complex world. We're so wound up, busy and bored, we forget about "simple loving". |

After the meditation I felt so relaxed. No tensions of mother in laws not getting along, or mother in law picking on daughter in law and pulling her son away from his wife. A weight was taken off my shoulders. No worries of "what do I do if we run into problems?" or "what did I do now?" The Divine Feminine Triangle will help me answer these questions. This Triangle will save families and someday end spouse & child abuse, world starvation, etc. I don't speak Spanish, but most of our group did. Sometimes I'd just sit and watch Andrea speaking Spanish to the others over dinner. Watching her smile, laugh, body language, etc. with no idea what she was saying, helped me to get to know her on another level. Part of me is content just watching her. Try this with a loved one. I stayed a few days after the tour ended and wrote this article. Again the waters of Lake Titicaca whispered to me, this time in songs of how to love after a romantic relationship is over; how to love a person even if they "should ever find someone new". Giving love piece meal, testing love, worrying about a possible future break up or jealousy, even subconsciously, can take away from fully loving in this moment. Fully loving now in this moment is how to make love last forever. Am I capable of such loving? It's worth a try. I hope I will always remember this lesson. High in the Andes Mountains overlooking an ancient remote lake I meditated... Lake Titicaca Nov. 2011 The tour ended and Andrea boarded the bus to leave. I waited as others boarded and my mind drifted. Suddenly she was running towards me. In a burst of warmth and a flash of light the world disappeared into a last hug and kiss, and I was home in my heart. Each and every one of us is truly powerful. We all have the power to help each other connect to the love in our hearts. We all have the power to help each other find our way home. |
