My Blog

My first class
I'm teaching my first "real" dance class tomorow night. I'm truly excited but the timing is horrible. I still haven't finished with holiday madness. Teaching is something I need to do for me. I'm curious to see how this works out. I can't wait til the first one is done so I can reflect back on it, I think I'll like that experience more than anxious anticipation.

I did it! -Kinda
So I just performed my first balancing routine, which was also my first routine with floorwork. It was a small tray with a "magic lamp" on top. It was quite a daunting task. Things never go as smoothly in public as they do in the living room. It was a supportive environment, a retirement home with the troupe I first started dancing with. It was a safe space, I like trying new things out with this troupe. I survived! The tray did some slipping but never fell.
